For the opening race of Wednesday’s preview, we have current 11/4 joint-favourites in FALCON SUN and TIKKINTHEBOX* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 20:39 GMT on Tuesday, 20th October 2020).

FALCON SUN claimed a second place finish on his last run, which was also his reappearance. That was on a 16f trip, with four runners.

It was also the chase debut for the Jonjo O’Neill-trained gelding as well. So it was a reasonable opener.

There was enough there for connections and supporters alike to be encouraged by. He should be fitter and he stays at the same mark as well, so brings strong claims.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

The obvious main threat to the favourite is TIKKINTHEBOX who has won a couple of times already this season.

That has been two wins from three runs since stepping back into action in July this year.

In the last race he had, Tikkinthebox produced a career best to score over 17f at Stratford. He takes on a 6lb rise in the weights, but has a 5lb claimer in Bryan Carver.

We are going to go with him as our 3/1 selection* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 20:39 GMT on Tuesday, 20th October 2020).

We would also have to look at CAROLINES CHARM for the shortlist. He has also taken on a 6lb rise in the rating. He collected a win on his last effort, scoring on good to firm group at Plumtpon in a 6-runner field. That was an upgrade in his form but this is a stiffer contest so will still need to find a little more to double up. Place claims are there however.

It is SUN BEAR who is trading as the current market leader for this contest at 7/2* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 20:39 GMT on Tuesday, 20th October 2020).

In her penultimate race she picked up a victory in a 1m contest at Windsor.

She then had to battle through some tough mud on her follow up at Haydock. That held her back as she could manage no better than 6th in that one.

It was also a test over 10f as well, which never looked like suiting her.

But back on better ground she is worth revisiting to get back in the picture. The drop back in trip to 1m is going to be a big factor too. A key contender.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

SUNSET KISS comes into the handicapping sphere for the first time in his one. She may be able to make a decent splash as well.

On her reappearance run for the year she collected a victory at Wolverhampton. That was on a 7f trip and she had plenty left to suggest that she can handle the 1m in this one.

Sunset Kiss is a little unexpected in this realm, but also bears a claimer on her back.

The other one for the shortlisted in this contest will be LORTON. There should be plenty of respect going her way.

Lorton stays at the same market as she was for her last trip. That last run was at Newmarket in a 7f handicap in heavy conditions.

She battled well to take third place in that one, so with better footing, could feature well.

At the head of the market for this Hereford Handicap Chase is THE BOOLA BEE at 6/4* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 20:39 GMT on Tuesday, 20th October 2020).

It has been a fine season from her so far and she has to enter calculations here.

It has been two wins in three runs from her this season, the latter coming on the flat. That was a flat debut actually a couple of weeks ago but the switch back to fences is where she will excel.

The Boola Bee does have a 7lb claimer in the saddle too.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

MISS ZIP has to feature well in this fixture as well. Back in March she secured a hattrick with a win at ffos Las. That final leg came after back to back scoring at Sedgefield.

This will be her first run since then, but trainer Evan Williams looks to have a good one here. Miss Zip claims 3lb for Conor Ring and she looks strong enough to overcome the absence.

The other that we would pull into the picture for this one is PRETTYLITTLETHING. It has been a run of three straight fourth-place finishes from her.

On her reappearance run this season, she took a fourth place finish at Uttoxeter on a 20f trip. That was only a month ago and will be that much sharper for it. Prettylittlething claims 7lb.

MINE’S A PINT is the current 5/2 leader in the market for this handicap chase at Fontwell.* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 20:39 GMT on Tuesday, 20th October 2020).

He should be one of the big players in this contest, despite taking on a 4lb rise in the ratings.

It’s not a mark that he can work off and he has come back this season in great form. Mine’s A Pint opened on his reappearance with a fifth place before kicking on.

He scored at Newton Abbot in his penultimate race and looked good to double up in his next.

But Mine’s A Pint fell two from home at Huntington on his last race. However, he had shaped well prior to that and would have been in the mix at the finish.

He has every chance of a bold run on Wednesday.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

NEVER LEARN is worth revisiting as well after undereating his rider last time out. Trained by Colin Tizzard, he was badly hampered on his last effort, which was here at Fontwell.

That was just under three weeks ago and the rider went down five from home. Never Learn stays and the same mark and with Tizzard in form, then the 2018 winner should throw down a challenge.

ECLAIR DE GUYE also looks as if he has enough about him to be a serious player in his field. He will be making his seasonal reappearance in this run.

He has had wind surgery since his time away as well. Eclair de Guye comes from an-form yard and signed off last season with victory at Southwell.

Eclair de Guye is also a former course and distance winner and warrants enough respect to go as our 8/1 pick* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 20:39 GMT on Tuesday, 20th October 2020).

The market leader in this handicap chase is SEASIDE GIRL at 4/1* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 20:39 GMT on Tuesday, 20th October 2020). On her latest run, Seaside Girl ditched her rider. That was at Wincanton six days ago.

She looks a good sore though and there is plenty of promise in her. So Seaside Girl may be worth revisiting as an option here. In her penultimate race, she showed an abundance of that ability.

It was a course and distance win on her chasing bow that Seaside Girl took two races ago. That was with the cheekpieces, which she retains. She is worth looking at for another score, or at least place claims.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

MOGESTIC is another that has a good degree of appeal for this fixture. He picked up a very well-earned course and distance success in September.

Then he made the switch back to hurdles and played a strong role again. Mogestic took a fourth place finish in that latest run, 18 days ago.

So he deserves a lot of respect back in chasing. We like him as a 5/1 selection* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 20:39 GMT on Tuesday, 20th October 2020).

KALASKADESEMILLEY scrapped it with MOGESTIC in a course and distance battle last month.

He only found the former too good as well in that run. He hasn’t been out since, so that’s a 39 day absence from him.

Kalaskadesemilly is up 5lb in the ratings, but given that form at C&D he deserves to be looked at for the shortlist.
