Arsenal News and Form – Nine points out of nine for the Gunners?
Unai Emery’s Arsenal have picked up two comfortable Europa League victories so far. The Gunners kicked off their European campaign with a routine 3-0 away win at Eintracht Frankfurt, with Joe Willock, Bukayo Saka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the scoresheet in Germany.
The Londoners then thumped Standard Liege at the Emirates on matchday two, cruising to a 4-0 victory on home soil. Arsenal raced into a 3-0 lead before half time, with Gabriel Martinelli scoring twice and Joe Willock netting. Dani Ceballos added a fourth 12 minutes after the break.
After Monday night’s poor 1-0 Premier League loss to Sheffield United at Bramall Lane, Emery will be looking for a positive response from his players in this one. The Gunners, who reached the Europa League final last season, have been superb in Europe so far this term, and they should make it nine points out of nine on Thursday.

Having kicked off with a 2-0 defeat to Liege in Belgium, Vitoria then lost at home to Frankfurt, with Evan N’Dicka’s first-half goal giving Eintracht all three points at the Estadio D. Afonso Henriques.
Guimaraes would love to kick-start their Europa League campaign with a positive result in London in midweek, but Arsenal should be too hot to handle for Ivo Vieira’s troops.
