The result has piled a heap of pressure on Arteta.
In last season’s Premier League Arsenal finished 7th. That meant no European action for them this term.
So there is only focus on the domestic front and there seems to be little margin for error.
But is Arteta the man to turn the Gunners back into a Top Four contender?
Punters are suggesting that he may not be around long enough for that to happen.
A defeat against Chelsea on the weekend in a big London derby wouldn’t help his cause.
Is Patrick Vieira an early contender?

The Hornets have a decent chance of getting some early points on the board with a somewhat favourable run of fixtures. They don’t meet one of last season’s top six sides until the middle of October (Liverpool).
