In focus is the small field that is declared for Ascot Noel Novices’ Chase racing betting on Friday.

There are only the vie runners, but it is a wonderfully competitive line-up. We look at each of the runners in Ascot Noel Novices’ Chase racing betting.

Pic D’Orhay Even Money FAV in Ascot Noel Novices’ Chase Racing Odds

There may well have been another victory recorded for PIC D’ORHAY if he had managed to complete at Newbury on his latest.

That effort was three weeks ago, but he took a tumble four from home in that Grade 2 contest.

But he was travelling well in it and he looked to be in command of the race.

Pic D’Orhay did open the season with a victory, having gotten off the mark on his chasing debut at Ffos Las in October.

He looks a good one, full of potential in this sphere.

He goes as the Even money favourite for racing betting on Friday* (odds recorded at 17:46 GMT on December 16th, 2021 at 888sport)

Faivoir is capable of a big challenge

Another of the useful hurdlers in this field on Friday is FAIVOIR. He has done a superb job of matching his hurdles form over the fences.

During his break, Faivoir had a wind op and has returned with some cracking form.

He got off the mark at the first time of asking in chasing this season on his reappearance at Uttoxeter.

He then posted a course and distance success on his latest run which was a month ago.

So he clearly has enough to get himself fully in the frame.

He has won four of his last five runs now and will likely make his presence felt.

Faivoir is a quote of 2/1 in horse racing betting* (odds recorded at 17:46 GMT on December 16th, 2021 at 888sport).

Gladiateur Allen has plenty to offer

GLADIATEUR ALLEN can’t be counted out of this one either if he is able to push on from a good debut in this sphere.

That happened two weeks ago when he landed an Exeter novice on a 19f trip.

He shaped well, and there was enough encouragement shown to expect more from him.

Gladiateur Allen didn’t really show that well over the hurdles in the previous campaign, certainly not as well as some of these rivals did.

But as he took immediately to the fences, then he should have a chance.

Gladiateur Allen is a quote of 11/2 in horse racing betting* (odds recorded at 17:46 GMT on December 16th, 2021 at 888sport).

Fifty Ball has something to find

FIFTY BALL is an interesting one in this race. Last season he was really progressing strongly over the hurdles.

This season since his reappearance, Fifty Ball has been moved to the fences.

It wasn’t a bad debut in the sphere, taking third place at Sandown.

However, he struggled to make much of an impact on his follow up run.

That was a 2m trip at Newbury in handicap chase three weeks ago. Fifty Ball finished second from last in a field of five.

Fifty Ball is lining up at a current quote of 12/1 in racing odds* (odds recorded at 17:46 GMT on December 16th, 2021 at 888sport).

Up The Straight needs a big effort

There was a victory produced by UP THE STRAIGHT on his reappearance run. That was in a three-runner event at Plumpton.

He showed well enough to take that, but this is a much tougher task for him.

On his second run, this season Up The Straight was sent to the Paddy Power Gold Cup and he was found wanting in that one.

He finished well down the field in that Grade 2 chase at Cheltenham.

Up The Straight comes down in trip from that one, but looks as if he will have a lot on his plate to deal with on Friday.

Up The Straight goes as a 16/1 outsider* (odds recorded at 17:46 GMT on December 16th, 2021 at 888sport).

Predictions & Tips for Ascot Noel Novices’ Chase Racing Odds

This may boil down to a straight duel between FAIVOIR and PIC D’ORHAY if the form just plays out on the day.

The threat of the former can’t be ignored as he looked to be well on course for a Grade 2 success at Newbury on his latest.

While he didn’t complete, he had that race in the bag making him rightly the biggest threat on Friday at evens * (odds recorded at 17:46 GMT on December 16th, 2021 at 888sport).

Faivoir is clearly thriving on the move to chasing and will challenge.

The best pick of the rest to mount some kind of challenge is GLADIAETEUR ALLEN who looks to build on his chase debut win.
