Ascot Queen Anne Stakes Racing Odds & Tips – 15th June 2021

Palace Pier the red hot favourite to land Royal Ascot win in the Queen Anne

Horse Racing Betting

The Ascot Queen Anne Stakes is the curtain-raiser to the five-day Royal Ascot Festival this week.

It is the first Group 1 fixture of the entire five days and one of three that are happening on Tuesday. So there is a big day of Royal Ascot betting ahead.

The Queen Anne Stakes is a 1m trip on the straight and it is open to 4-year-olds and above.

The highly impressive PALACE PIER looks to be the one to beat, as he arrives for the contest as a strong odds-on favourite.

Palace Pier the firm FAV in Queen Anne Stakes Odds

Can the powerful PALACE PIER be stopped in the Queen Anne Stakes? Given the market favouritism, that could be a tough thing.

John Gosden’s Palace Pier is a quote of 2/5 odds-on in Queen Anne Stakes betting 2021* (betting odds recorded 19:00 GMT on June 14th 2021 at Paddy Power).

The form is certainly there having blasted out of the gates this season to win in a Group 2 at Sandown and then the Group 1 Lockinge at Newbury.

Last season he picked up a couple of Group 1 victories as part of an accomplished hattrick that he scored.

So everything points to Palace Pier just dominating this Royal Ascot field. Arguably there is no better around in the mile division.

However you look at this race it is just so hard to oppose Palace Pier and Franke Dettori’s Roayl Ascot week is likely to get off on a very positive note.

Lope Y Ferndanez a lock for a place finish?

We would expect a strong bounce-back performance from LOPE Y FERNANDEZ in the Queen Anne Stakes on Tuesday.

He was last seen at the Lockinge, and it was a hugely disappointing performance from him to finish down in eighth place.

There is better ground on offer here in this contest, the sharper track likely to play more to his liking.

Lope Y Fernandez did open the season with a score at Leopardstown, making full advantage of a drop in grade.

From a quote of 11/1 he makes one of the stronger place picks in Queen Anne Stakes betting* (betting odds recorded 19:00 GMT on June 14th 2021 at Paddy Power).

Order Of Australia can make an impact at Royal Ascot

Back in November, ORDER OF AUSTRALIA sprung a surprise on the Keeneland field to land the Breeders’ Cup Mile.

He is still unexposed at this trip but looks as if he could have enough about him to get himself in the frame for this one.

Order Of Australia has proven versatility as he won at several different distances in the previous campaign. So this isn’t necessarily beyond him.

He is lining up as the current 7/1 second-favourite but may have missed a trick in having had a reappearance run under his belt* (betting odds recorded 19:00 GMT on June 14th 2021 at Paddy Power).

Even with that in mind Order Of Australia has decent place claims in the contest.

  • 2017 Ribchester – R Fahey, W Buick, 11/10
  • 2016 Tepin – M Casse, J R Leparoux, 11/2
  • 2015 Solow – F Head, M Guyon, 11/8
  • 2014 Toronado – R Hannon, R Hughes, 4/5

  • 2011 Canford Cliffs – R Hannon, R Hughes, 11/8

Top Rank not without place claims

There may be a decent effort to come from TOP RANK in the race for a place finish in the Queen Anne Stakes.

He opened the campaign with a victory at Doncaster, scoring under a penalty in that contest. That was the third win for Top Rank in his last six races.

So Top Rank has form and on a step up to Group 1 in the Lockinge at Newbury, he put in another eye-catching run to claim third behind Palace Pier.

That was no disgrace at all there.

Top Rank has looked as good as ever this season and the likeable competitor is an 11/1 quote* (betting odds recorded 19:00 GMT on June 14th 2021 at Paddy Power).

We would expect to see him right in there for a top-three finish at Royal Ascot on Tuesday.

Regal Reality with a shot at the money from fresh

REGAL REALITY comes in fresh from a 263-day break. That’s a long absence, but he is not without place claims.

He was last seen in September when he was second of six at Newmarket on a 1m trip. The line came a little too soon for him in that one.

But that effort confirmed the upward progress of Regal Reality and Sir Michael Stoute’s 6-year-old may not be too far away in this one.

There is probably too much to do in terms of the win for him, but from a 20/1 e/w play in Queen Anne Stakes racing odds, Regal Reality is worth a look* (betting odds recorded 19:00 GMT on June 14th 2021 at Paddy Power).

Rest of the Runners in Queen Anne Stakes Betting

ACCIDENTAL AGENT was the 2018 winner of the Queen Anne. He hasn’t managed to produce anything of note in the last twelve months, however.

BLESS HIM would need a few of these to falter to have a shot at the place. He is a scrappy sort but could fade quickly.

LORD GLITTERS has won a couple of times this season, at Group 2 and Group 1. So things have come together for him. Lord Glitters won the Queen Anne in 2019 and was fourth in the Lockgine recently behind Palace Pier. Place claims are reasonable.

POGO claimed a win at Leicester on his reappearance in a Listed fixture. He had nothing competitive in him a month ago in the Lockinge however.

PRINCE EIJI was second on his reappearance, which was at course and distance in a listed fixture. That was 48 days ago. He has been running well in defeat, but will probably be outclassed here.

SIR BUSKER isn’t without place claims. His two efforts haven’t been bad this season and were fourth in the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes here at Ascot on his latest effort. There were excuses there too.

Predictions & Tips for Queen Anne Stakes Racing Odds

It will be all eyes on PALACE PIER who looks strong for another success. He’s just imperious and if he runs anywhere near to his best should sweep this.

His form in the Lockinge against some of these rivals proves that.

So it’s mainly a fight for place finishes. For that, we think TOP RANK has a good shout from 11/1 each way* (betting odds recorded 19:00 GMT on June 14th 2021 at Paddy Power).

He has found some nice form for himself and went well in the Lockinge to suggest that he could get back in the money spots.

We would also be prepared to push out to the 25/1 shot SIR BUSKER for place claims* (betting odds recorded 19:00 GMT on June 14th 2021 at Paddy Power).

He has course and distance history and has been on the up for a while now.
