ATP Farmers Classic Tennis Betting Info
The Olympics will be interrupting the couple of ATP Tournaments that there are this week, with all of the big guns resting up ahead of making their appearance at London 2012. Not to worry, there is still some good ATP tennis betting to look at and enjoy for now though, as the next instalment of the Emirates Airline US Open Series continues in California this week. We are in Los Angeles for out tennis betting this week, and the tournament is the longest running annual professional sporting event in the city.

ATP Farmers Classic Tennis Betting Defending Champion
Ernest Gulbis won here last year but instead of coming back for the defence of his title this week, has decided to stay in Europe and play in ATP Kitzbuhel instead. So there won’t be a defending champion in Los Angeles this week.

ATP Farmers Classic Tennis Betting Favourite
American Sam Querrey is the favourite in the City of Angels this week, as he is lining up a shot at his third title here. He won back in 2009 and 2010 so has a strong track record here. He goes off as number two seed here, but Querrey does have a 10-2 match record for the event and is the only player in the field who has tasted victory here before. So plenty of reasons to get behind him and back him for a triple. Querrey is floating down in the fifties in the rankings, but is one of those decent journeymen who can turn up and produce a title. He has won already this year, on the clay in Sarasota, Florida, and his most recent best effort was a run to the semi finals of Queens ahead of Wimbledon. He did bit the highly ranked youngster Milos Raonic at Wimbledon before losing to Marin Cilic in the third round. Looks the strong name in the field to catch.

Other Contenders
Xavier Malisse is back in Los Angeles for the ninth time. So he has plenty of experience here but only holds a 7-8 record. Still, you have to weigh up the quality of the overall field on this one, and see that the Belgian makes a decent runner for the title. He isn’t on too bad of a stretch of from either. He reached the quarter finals at Queen’s, the semi finals at s-Hertogenbosch and the fourth round at Wimbledon So could be carrying a good bit of momentum into this one.

Frenchman Nicolas Mahut is another one of those solid journeymen who you just never know when he will produce something. Has a 14-13 match record for the season, which clearly isn’t fantastic, but again, this is not a high quality field at all. No spectacular form from him, but his world ranking of 66 makes him one of the highest ones in the tournament. So that may be a reason to have a look at him. You may remember him from Queen’s this year when he beat Andy Murray in the second round.

Brian Baker. Have to have a look at Baker who is making his first ever appearance at the Farmers Classic in Los Angeles. We have just been seeing a bit more of this man in the tennis circles this year, and he really came to light at Wimbledon when he reached the fourth round. Baker has also finished up as runner up in Nice this season. Didn’t get going in Atlanta last week, so will be hoping for a bit of a bounce back on the west coast this week.

Best Outside Bet
Number one seed for the Farmers Classic is going as our best outside bet. You are not going to see that happen very often, but it is Benoit Paire who fills the slot this week. This is his début in Los Angeles, but his highlights of the season were a semi final appearance in s-Hertogenbosch and then a runner-up in Belgrade. Has only hit the second round in his last two events, but they were both on clay.
