Saracens were totally dominant in club rugby last season and are hot favourites to win the Aviva Premiership again. But there has been significant interest in Bath to achieve a top four finish in the regular season (now a best 7/2 with 888sport, who have the former west country giants at 25/1 to top the table at the end of the regular season). The Recreation Ground outfit are 18/1 with Ladbrokes to win the Grand Final.

888sport are offering a fantastic offer for new customers called “Treble the Odds”.

To get it, just register and place your first bet of minimum of £5 and a maximum of £10 on any market at the normal odds (any amount higher than £10 will be paid at normal odds). 888sport will treble the odds of your bet, which results in a trebled profit paid in cash!

Bath finished ninth last season in the Aviva Premiership and lost 13 of their 22 matches. But new director of rugby Todd Blackadder has had a massive clear-out over the summer with 15 names disappearing off the official team roster. You could argue that Bath’s back-line of England team-mates George Ford, Jonathan Joseph and Anthony Watson has the potential to be among the best in Britain but they got little protection from the forwards last season. Steps, however, have been taken to remedy that situation with the signing of Welsh internationals Luke Charteris and Taulupe Faletau. Highly-rated youngster Jack Walker has also arrived.

Sarries will do well to replicate last year’s success. Owen Farrell will miss the start of the season and they’ve lost the experienced Jacques Burger and Charlie Hodgson. But they are still worthy favourites for the regular season and the Grand Final at 6/5 and 6/4 respectively as the strength-in-depth remains.

Wasps can be hard to stop when they find their stride and are 3/1 with Ladbrokes to lead the table when the regular season ends while last season’s runners-up Exeter Chiefs are a best 9/2.

But the bet for this season’s Aviva Premiership is for Northampton to secure a top four finish at Paddy Power‘s 11/8. The Saints have secured this summer’s stand-out signing in Louis Picamoles. The France number eight will drive on his pack when the chips are down and the British weather has turned and a title bid is not out of the question with Northampton likely to give supporters a run for their money in the title race at a general 16/1.
