Since Gerhard Struber took charge at Oakwell, Barnsley have secured wins over Hull City, Queens Park Rangers and Millwall. In fact, the Tykes have really picked up lately, losing only one of their last five.

After an impressive home triumph over QPR, with Conor Chaplin’s treble helping the Tykes to a 5-3 win, the Yorkshire side pulled off a stunning 2-1 victory against in-form Millwall at The Den. Aiden O’Brien’s late goal looked to have rescued a point for the home team, but Chaplin’s injury-time winner gave the Tykes their first away victory of the season.

 

 

Barnsley have struggled at Oakwell this term, winning three, drawing five and losing four on their own patch. Despite their recent upswing in results, the Tykes remain in the bottom three of the Championship table. Can the home team cause an upset against the leaders on Boxing Day?
