This will be a test for Harlequins as they are battling with Gloucester at the moment for third place in the Premiership. There are no easy away games in the top flight and  the Quins go into the game as underdogs, despite having had a much better season than Bath.

Bath v Harlequins Preview

Bath suffered a narrow loss out at Northampton last weekend, losing by a point at the end after having held a half time lead. That leaves them with just the one win in their last three Gallagher Premiership games, the lone success in that sequence coming against bottom side Newcastle.

Bath are on an even keel this season in terms of points scored and conceded, having gone 311 each way. They are sat in seventh place in the league heading into the weekend and they are the lowest try-scorers of all sides currently sat in the top half of the table. But defensively they have held their own pretty well.

Head to head

The September clash between them ended in a good 37-32 win for Bath on the road. That leaves them with three wins in the last four Gallagher Premiership clashes between the two sides. They have won their last two on home soil against the Quins as well.

Harlequins are a team in form at the moment with four wins in their last five games. The only slip up in that sequence was in the Premiership Rugby Cup against Saracens. They have won their last four league games on the bounce, their most recent being a home win over the struggling Bristol Bears, which was no great surprise really.

The last time the Quins were out on the road they earned a win at bottom side Newcastle. Harlequins are the heaviest scorers in the league outside of the top two and that attacking power is going to be keeping them in things. They are 10/11 to cover a +7 handicap for this tricky away game though* (betting odds taken from bet365 on February 26th, 2019 at 7:07 pm). The thing that they are lacking is form against Bath.

Bath v Harlequins Prediction

This should be a really good game. Harlequins have struggled for results against Bath, but they are carrying the stronger form of the two. This may end up being a tight battle and it may be worth backing the visitors to cover that seven-point handicap at 10/11 odds* (betting odds taken from bet365 on February 26th, 2019 at 7:07 pm).
