This is a big clash in the first round of Cincinnati and it’s going to be Greek star Maria Sakkari, who is our pick.
Sakkari has been struggling a little for form, really since the end of the clay swing.
She lost in the second round of Wimbledon and then the third round of the Olympics.
Last week on the hard court of Montreal, Sakkari bowed out in the third round against Victoria Azarenka.
But there should be a reasonable chance for Sakkari to progress past the first round on Monday.
That’s because Germany’s Angelique Kerber is coming in cold.
Kerber had a great season on the grass, winning a title on home turf in Germany, before going deep into the draw at Wimbledon.
But that’s been well over a month now since she last played.
We just imagine that Sakkari will find a way to outlast her as she did when beating the German 2-0 in Melbourne earlier this year.

This is a tricky opener that Krecjikova gets in Cincinnati against Russia’s Daria Kasatkina.
It will be the first time that the two have met.
Kasatkina lost in the second round of Montreal last week to Ons Jabeur which came straight after a Fourth Round exit at San Jose.
The Russian did win a title on the hard court of St Petersburg earlier this year.
This is likely to be tight, but the slightly better current form is with Krejicova.
