That was the second title of the season for him. The result left the young Norwegian with a hugely positive 27/9 win/loss match record for the season.
Dennis Novak was in that same Bastad tournament and crashed out in the first round of the main draw having to come through two rounds of qualifying to get there.
That left him on a W3 L8 record for the season in the main draw of ATP Tour events.
It looks like a big ask of him to take down a Top 20 player who is in form.

Tennis Betting Picks Today: Astra Sharma v Natalia Vikhlyantseva
Tennis betting for today moves on to the WTA action from Palermo, Italy.
This is a Round of 16 action between Astra Sharma and Natalia Vikhlyantseva.
Sharma is the 7th seed for the tournament and is also the favourite in the match betting to move ahead to the Quarter Finals.
So far in Palermo, she opened with a three-set victory over world card Lucrezia Stefanini.
There has been a title for Sharma this year which was at the WT250 Charleston event in April.
She beat Ons Jabeur to claim the title and it confirms clay-court form.
Vikhlyantseva, ranked 60 places lower than Sharma is finished her last tournament on a 4/9 win/loss match record this season.
She claimed an easy first-round win and reached the quarter-finals of Lausanne last week.
The Russian doesn’t look necessarily like she is going to get rolled over easily.
But Sharma looks like being the stronger option to pull through.

Tennis for Today: Katarina Zavatska v Olga Danilovic
We stay on the clay in Palermo for the final selection in today’s Tennis betting tips.
Olga Danilovic pulled off a big upset in the first round of action.
The Serbian got the better of eighth seed Kamilla Rakhimova. That victory took three sets to complete.
That saw her continue in nice current form after having reached the last eight in Budapest last week.
Danilovic had started in the first round of qualifying there, so had plenty of time on the court.
The two players have met once before, Danilovic getting the win in a 2018 fixture.
Zavatska is ranked just slightly higher than Daniolvic in the world standings.
She has also carried a very similar form to that of Serbian over the course of the season.
Ukraine’s Zavatska claimed a win over Lizette Cabrera in the opening round of this tournament.
Since coming through qualification to then lose in the first round of the French Open this year, Zavatska’s record since was W1 L3 in matches (including qualifying) ahead of this event.
There isn’t too much paper between the two players. But it’s Danilovic whose current form just looks better.
