Tennis betting tips today starts with a cracker of a match in the opening roundd of action at ATP Toronto.
Britain’s Cameron Norrie is looking for a bit of a return to form.
After some great form which saw him reach the final of Queens and a title victory at Los Cabos, Norrie has fallen in the second round of his last two events.
The most recent of those was last week when he bowed out of Washington against veteran Kei Nishikori.
But the bookies think he has a chance. Norrie is only a narrow underdog in the match outright for tennis betting.
This is a tough opener against Russia’s Karen Khachanov, who won silver at the Olympics.
That was the best effort by some distance from Khachanov on hard court surfaces this year.
These two have met before, with Khachanov betting Norrie back in March in Rotterdam.
The Russian is not likely to be as fresh, but Norrie has come up a little short in his last two tournaments.

Tennis Betting Picks Today: Veronika Kudermetova v Yulia Putintseva
Over in Montreal for today’s tennis betting tips, we take a look at this interesting First Round match.
Russia’s Veronika Kudermetova is struggling for form at the moment.
She has lost her last four matches in all tournaments.
The most recent of those was at the Olympic Games when she was beaten in the first round by Garbine Mugurza.
In her last six matches, Kudermetova has taken only one victory.
There have been two consecutive defeats for her on hard court surfaces, but those were both tough matches against Aryna Sabalenka and Muguruza.
One positive for Kedermetova is that she did win her one previous match against Putintseva, which was on the hard court in St Petersburg.
Putintseva has been carrying much better form than her opponent, so looks to be the way to go for tennis betting.
She picked up a title in Budapest last month (on clay) and then on the switch to the hard court won a couple of matches at San Jose last week.
We think Putintseva is well worth a look, despite being an underdog.

Tennis Betting Tips for Today: Shuai Zhang v Johanna Konta
Today’s Tennis betting tips move over to the WTA to look at the return of Johanna Konta.
She hasn’t played a competitive match since Nottingham in mid-June when she lifted the title.
Her Olympic bid ended ahead of the event when she was forced out of the draw.
The British player does head into Tuesday’s match as the favourite.
This isn’t the easiest of openers for her here. Konta has lost four of her last five matches on the hard court.
But Shaui Zhang has lost three of her last five such matches.
She does have a little advantage of being a little more match sharp after taking part in San Jose last week.
Zhang won a couple of matches there before bowing out.
But it’s the head to head record that piques the most interest for this one. That’s because Konta dominates it.
Konta is W6 L1 in their seven previous meetings with Zhang and that includes a win over the Chinese played on her way to the title at Nottingham this summer.
