Betfair have landed a deal to offer their customers a new payment method, as they have teamed up with online payment processor Ukash.

The integration of Ukash into Betfair, who already offer a vast array of payment options, will allow their customers to verify their identity and to make cash deposits into their Betfair accounts using Ukash vouchers. The vouchers are available at over 50,000 retail outlets across the UK.

The Ukash services also will benefit customers looking to move funds the other way, as the payment processor allows for the withdrawal of funds at retail outlets as well. Both Betfair’s mobile and desktop customers will be able to take advantage of the new Ukash service.

Ukash chief executive David Hunter praised Betfair as the world’s first successful betting exchange, saying the company was respected for its innovation and values.

“Like Ukash, they are a great British success story and this makes our cooperation even more satisfying,” Hunter said.

Betfair’s group operations director Ian Chuter added: “Ukash offers a secure and easy method of deposit and withdrawing, supporting our wider on-going aim of making it easier for customers to transact with Betfair.”
