Brazil v Mexico Betting Preview
Is this Brazilian side going to be something special? They have a big chance to impress again and book their place in the semi finals of the 2013 Confederations Cup after opening with a win over Japan. As for Mexico, they need to dig deep and find a response after losing their opening game Italy. So important points are at stake in Group A on June 19th at Fortaleza. Interestingly, in Confederations Cup history, it is Mexico who have the upper hand.

Brazil v Mexico Recommended Bet:
The Brazilians opened with a fairly convincing 3-0 win over Japan to kick the tournament off with. An early stunning strike from Neymar calmed all the nerves and with a second goal three minutes into the second half and the third three minutes into injury time, Brazil were comfortable winners. It wasn’t always beautiful fluent stuff to be honest, and while they look very good and talented going forward, there is something missing in the midfield, which would perhaps push them on to the next level. But still, they should be able to take a tremendous amount of confidence from getting first match nerves out of the way. The task now is for them to build upon that as they head into their second match, a game against Mexico.

That is back to back wins now for Brazil, after beating France 3-0 in a pre-tournament friendly as well. So maybe they are on the up and will be relishing this chance at competitive football for a chance. This is going to be their biggest preparation as hosts of next year’s World Cup. All in all, will the good Brazil turn up? They will know that Mexico will have to have a go at them or risk being eliminated. Mexico lost their opening match 2-1 against Italy and while they were enterprising El Tri were playing with some very good pace, there are problems in the side, namely a lack of goals. Their equalising goal game from the penalty spot, and they have been struggling badly for goals since the turn of 2013. This would be the time to come to life up front and for a twist, when the two sides met last June, Mexico pulled off a famous 2-0 win in a friendly.

Can they reproduce that? Judging by their opening games, Brazil should have far more of an edge going forward, but if Mexico flood that midfield, and hit the Brazilians on the break, they could be in with a chance. But at best, a Draw/Brazil Half Time/Full Time bet is decent at odds of 3/1 with Unibet.

Italy look to tame the Blue Samurai
Italy v Japan Preview and Predictions

In the Brazil v Mexico head to head, the South Americans lead the way over the Central Americans. In 37 previous meetings, Brazil have taken 21 wins to 10 from Mexico. The goal count stands at 69 goals for Brazil and 36 to Mexico in those meetings. This will be the fourth match in the Confederations Cup between them, and Mexico have won two of the three surprisingly. They also won the most recent meeting, that friendly last summer in Arlington, Texas. Is there a surprise on the cards here?
