Brighton News and Form – Can Brighton find their winning touch?

The Seagulls need to get themselves going again in terms of wins. Their performances have been good, but the results have not been there. It all came good for them in their opening match, a 3-0 win at Watford. But they have since managed only one point from their following three games. They suffered back to back defeats before the international break against Southampton and Manchester City. So Graham Potter’s men need to steady the ship a little bit and stop their slide. It has been just the one goal in their last three games though. Forward Leandro Trossard is out with an injury.

Brighton 2-1 correct score
9/1

Ladbrokes

The positive for Brighton this season has been their style. They are playing a nice open, fluent attacking game and play out from the back. But it is not going to count if the results don’t follow. The Seagulls have won only one of their last thirteen league games now. Of the elven goals that have been produced in Brighton’s games this season, eight of them have come in the second half of fixtures. The Seagulls have shipped the first goal in all but of their league games this campaign. They have been level at half time in both home games.

Burnley News and Form

It has been a very similar story for Burnley as it has been for Brighton. They opened with a big 3-0 win over Southampton but haven’t been able to follow it up. They have taken just one point from their three games. Burnley’s performances though have been right up there, they have been very good. They were unlucky not to get something out of their game against Arsenal and to not beat Wolves. In their final game before the international break, they suffered a 3-0 loss against Liverpool at Turf Moor.

It is a seven-match undefeated streak of form that Burnley are on against Brighton in all competitions, so they have that positive. All but one of their four games this term have gone over 2.5 goals. The two goals that they have produced out on the road this season have been scored in the first half of fixtures. Ashley Barnes has been in fantastic form for Burnley this season, having scored four of their five goals in this campaign.
