Cyril's Betting Advice

I recently looked at Both Teams To Score stats. A few weeks have elapsed since I set the figures down on paper, so to speak, so now I’m giving an update which should show any trends which may have developed over the last few weeks.

The Premiership

Here we have EVERTON leading the way with a scoring rate of 22 BTTS games from 28. Followed by ‘Spurs with 21 from 29 games.

Rather surprisingly Man. Utd have not featured in a BTTS game for five matches.

The consistent team is STOKE. They are still bottom of the pack with less than 50%. Others performing in a similar manner are Swansea and Man. City.

A total of 263 games out of 451 were BTTS. 58.3%

The stand-out side here is Ipswich. With just 4 of their last 18 games going BTTS. Their 38 games have produced 91 goals a spot short of 2.4 goals per game. 36 for, 55 against. Their first 20 games averaged 3 goals per game for a total of 60. 19 f0r, 41 against. As it is obvious that few goals are being scored when Ipswich play, perhaps there is the basis for some Correct Scores which include “0” on one side or the other.

It might also be worth noting that in addition to Man Utd and Ipswich there are five other sides which have a zero return BTTS from their last five games. Namely Hartlepools, Stevenage and Sheffield United in League One. Also Chesterfield, League Two and Nuneaton in the Conference. Could be useful info for anyone contemplating having Correct Score bets.

I’ll update Leagues One and Two shortly. I also want to look at a different way of appreciating what the odds we take really mean in terms of percentages. It just might make you think twice before taking odds about that GOOD thing.

Don’t forget. Bet sensibly and only with cash you can afford to lose.
