Burnley News and Form

Burnley earned a crucial 2-1 win out at Huddersfield in their last Premier League game. That was a massive boost for them, not only giving them back to back league wins but seeing off one of the few sides beneath them. Overall this season at Turf Moor in the EPL Burnley are W3 D1 L5. But they have now churned out two wins in their last three home games (L1). Each of their home wins recorded this season have been with a clean sheet incidentally. Their win over Huddersfield leaves them two points clear of the drop zone heading into the weekend.

Burnley have scored 12 home goals, but have conceded an average of 2.0 goals per game and their defence has been their massive let down this season. Only Fulham have shipped more league goals than the Clarets have done this season. 50% of all league fixtures at Turf Moor have ended over 3.5 goals, again largely down to the defence of Burnley. Burnley are on a five-match scoring streak on home soil in the EPL though so that is a positive. The Clarets have scored 75% of their home goals in the first period of home games.

Burnley v Fulham Head to Head

Fulham earned a 4-2 home win over Burnley back in August
Things are even in the last five meetings with two wins each and a draw
Each of the last four meetings have produced at least three goals
Burnley are unbeaten in their last 31 home games against Fulham

Fulham News and Form

The Cottagers suffered a 4-1 loss at Arsenal on New Year’s Day and that has left them with only the one victory in their last eight Premier League games. The Cottagers have suffered eight losses in their last nine Premier League away games. So it has been rough for them to say the least. In their away games this season Fulham have conceded an average of 2.5 goals per road game. 45% of their away games have gone over 3.5 goals.

Fulham’s only away clean sheet happened in a 0-0 draw at Newcastle in December. In fact, Fulham have been so vulnerable in defence that they have conceded in both halves in 64% of away games. The Cottagers have been losing at half time in seven away games this season and only on two occasions have they opened the scoring in an away fixture. They have both the worst defence and worst away record in the EPL this term. Defeat in this one would leave them really. A win would be a massive boost for them.
