Cardiff were buoyed by their late win over Luton, and they were the clear favourites at the Madejski Stadium on Sunday. However, the Bluebirds put in one of their worst performances under Neil Warnock, crashing to a heavy 3-0 defeat to a Reading side who lost their opening two games of the season.
Cardiff struggled at home in the Premier League last term, securing just six wins from 19 matches at the Cardiff City Stadium. However, they started their home campaign this term with a win over Luton, and City will be looking to make it back-to-back home victories on Wednesday.

Huddersfield had a year to forget in the Premier League last term, and the club have made a poor start to this season in the second tier. Town started with a 2-1 loss to Derby County at the John Smith’s Stadium. They then picked up a decent 1-1 away draw at Queens Park Rangers before losing 1-0 at home to EFL League One side Lincoln City in the League Cup.
Huddersfield had the worst home record in the top flight last season, while Fulham were the only club with a poorer record on the road. The Yorkshire side picked up just one away win all season, losing a staggering 14 of the other 18. However, they did hold Cardiff to a 0-0 draw in the Welsh capital back in January.
