Champions League Tips – October 24th, 2018

There are some real heavyweight clashes in the Champions League on Wednesday night such as Barcelona v Inter, Borussia Dortmund v Atletico Madrid and PSG v Napoli. Liverpool get a home game against Red Star Belgrade.

Tottenham will be on the hunt for points as well in midweek as they head to the Netherlands. But we take a look at the other games for some midweek Champions League Predictions and tips

Club Brugge v Monaco

A battle of the bottom two in Group A is this one with neither looking anywhere near the required quality to make a run at qualification. Still, this is an important game in terms of trying to stay in Europe through the Europa League. It’s hard to see a lot of strength in either but really, Monaco have been in such a mess in their domestic league, they can’t be placing too much on this. Club Brugge can roll up and take the three points at 6/5 odds* (betting odds taken on October 22nd, 2018 at 00:22 am).

Lokomotiv Moscow v Porto

This is in Group D where things are relatively open and would be even more so if Moscow were to take a home win in this. They don’t have any points from their first two games though and with Porto sitting top of the group, the appeal is in the away win. Porto so far have managed a 1-1 draw at Schalke and a 1-0 home win over Galatasaray. One of their two goals this term in the group have come from the penalty spot. The very best option we can see for this one is looking under 1.5 goals at 7/4 odds* (betting odds taken on October 22nd, 2018 at 00:22 am). It probably won’t be a thriller.

Galatasaray v Schalke

This could be a pretty entertaining game out in Turkey on Wednesday night. Galatasaray smashed Lokomotiv Moscow 3-0 in Istanbul before losing out in Porto. Schalke have managed to avoid defeat in a draw against Porto and a narrow win over Lokomotiv. To be fair, neither of these are in any particularly hot form. They did meet back in the 2013 Champions League with Schalke losing 2-3 at home against the Turks after a 1-1 draw on the road. Galatasaray are unbeaten in five European home games now (W2 D3) and a draw no bet at 5/6 on them against a Shalke side who have won just two of their last ten European away games is a decent proposition* (betting odds taken on October 22nd, 2018 at 00:22 am).
