Champions League Tips – November 6th, 2018

We are rapidly getting towards the business end of the Champions League group stage now with match day four coming up in midweek. Tuesday has a host of big crashes including Inter v Barcelona from the San Siro and Napoli v PSG. We also have big English interest with Liverpool taking a trip to Red Star Belgrade while Tottenham v PSV is a massive scrap for survival in their group.

Here we take a look at the top Champions League Tips and Predictions for Tuesday, November 6th, 2018 from the other games around.

Monaco v Club Brugge

The way things are shaping up in Group A, this is nothing more than a fight to get into the Europa League. Both Monaco and Club Brugge have the one point each and that was from their 1-1 draw in Belgium on match day three. French side Monaco are in such trouble at the foot of the Ligue 1 they probably won’t want Europa League action. Club Brugge are running much better in their respective league but their record in France is miserable at W1 D1 L7. It is a bit of strange game as Brugge were on an eight-match losing streak in the Champions League before the draw with Monaco. Monaco are without a win in eleven European games now.

It is really hard to see anything other than another draw cropping up at 12/5 odds* (betting odds taken from bet365 on November 4th, 2018 at 7:00 pm).

Porto v Lokomotiv Moscow

This is a big opportunity for Porto to drive forward to the knockout stage. They are top of Group D with seven points from their three games so far. They eased to a 3-1 away win in Russia last time out and it’s a pretty straightforward prediction to suggest that they are going to be comfortable back on home soil this week against Lokomotiv. The Russians are stuck at the bottom of the group without a point and they have only come up with the one goal as well. They look well out of their depth.

We can only go with the home win in this one and because the Russians have been struggling in front of goal, a Porto to win to nil option should suffice at 6/5 odds* (betting odds taken from bet365 on November 4th, 2018 at 7:00 pm).

Schalke v Galatasaray

This one is the in same group as the Porto v Lokomotiv Moscow game. Things are tight between the two with Schalke in second place, one point ahead of the Turkish side. The two of them met on match day three and it was settled with a share of the spoils in a 0-0 draw. The Germans have only scored the two goals so far in their three games and the Turkish outfit have managed just one more than that. There has to be a bit more incentive for Schalke to come out strongly on home soil and grab qualification by the scruff of the neck. This is probably going to be another tight game between them. Schalke are unbeaten in seven home games (W4 D3) and that is enough for us, combined with Gala losing three of their last five European games.

Schalke to win and under 2.5 goals is at 9/4 odds* (betting odds taken from bet365 on November 4th, 2018 at 7:00 pm).
