Championship Tips – 24th October 2018

There are some huge games in the Champions League on Wednesday as match day three concludes. But if you are looking for some good domestic action then there are some games to come as well from the Championship as well including a top clash between West Brom and Derby at the Hawthorns. Here we take a look at the Championship tips and predictions for October 24th, 2018.

Leeds v Ipswich

Leeds suffered their second loss of the league season on the weekend as they went down at Ewood Park against Blackburn. It’s not quite clicking for Marcelo Bielsa’s men at the moment who are just W1 D2 L2 in their last five. They certainly need a lift and they can get one at home on Wednesday. Even though they are only W1 D2 L1 in their last four at Elland Road they are facing the bottom side in midweek. Ipswich are stuck on one win for the league season and they have lost four of their six road games (W1 D1). They have shipped exactly two goals in each of their last four. Leeds to win to nil does it for us at 13/10 odds* (betting odds taken on October 21st, 2018 11:58 pm).

Bolton v Nottm Forest

Bolton at least avoided losing three games on the trot as they picked up a point against Rotherham on the weekend. The Trotters have one win in their last nine now and they are just W1 L3 in their last four on home soil. Bolton have come up with just two goals in their last six league games. Nottingham Forest could be licking their lips at this one as they look to recover from a home loss against Norwich on the weekend. The Tricky Trees are W1 D4 L1 away from home. They took a clean sheet win at Middlesbrough in their last road game. We are going to back them to do the same here at 5/2 odds* (betting odds taken on October 21st, 2018 11:58 pm).

Bristol City v Hull

The Robins snapped their winless streak at five as they collected a 1-0 win at Brentford on the weekend. Their home form is mixed at W2 D2 L2 so far but they have lost just one of their last four on home soil and that was a tough game against Sheffield Wednesday. As they are taking on Hull who are second from bottom and on a four-match losing streak away from home, we are taking the routine option of a home win at 5/6 odds* (betting odds taken on October 21st, 2018 11:58 pm).

Preston v Brentford

Preston are doing well, all things considered with five points from their last three games. That is just about keeping them out of the drop zone and it comes after a run of just one point in seven games. They produced a stunning 4-0 home win over Wigan in their last fixture at Deepdale. Brentford are the next visitors and the Bees are winless in six now (D4 L2) after a strong start to the season. They don’t have an away win this season and the best option we can see in this is a Preston +0.25 Asian Handicap at 4/5 odds* (betting odds taken on October 21st, 2018 11:58 pm).
