Charlton Athletic News and Form – Can the Addicks secure a fourth home league win?

Charlton Athletic were promoted from EFL League One as play-off winners last term. The Addicks made a strong start to life back in the second tier, though their form has been patchy of late. Since going six games unbeaten at the start, Athletic have now lost three of their last five.

Before the international break, Charlton battled to an excellent draw with Fulham at Craven Cottage. Bowyer’s boys led twice, but Aleksandar Mitrovic’s equaliser earned the Cottagers a point in the eventful 2-2 draw at the Cottage.

Derby County News and Form – Will the Rams extend unbeaten run to six games?

Derby County languish in 13th place at the moment, but the Rams have certainly turned a corner over the past month. Phillip Cocu’s side are undefeated since crashing to a heavy 3-0 loss at Brentford in late August, winning two and drawing three of their last five.

On the whole, County have been hard to beat in the Championship so far, with only Bristol City and Brentford getting the better of them. However, no side have drawn more than the Rams in the second tier up until now.

Derby claimed a much-needed 2-0 win over Luton Town at Pride Park before the break. An early Matthew Pearson own goal sent them on their way, with Tom Lawrence’s second-half strike completing the job for the Midlands outfit.

Cocu’s troops have struggled on the road this term, failing to win away from home since beating Huddersfield Town 2-1 at the John Smith’s Stadium on the opening weekend. Can they pick up three points on their travels this Saturday?
