Chelsea v Bournemouth Betting Tips – Premier League 31st January 3.00pm

The Blues continue their heavy work load as they stay at the Bridge to host Bournemouth in midweek. Chelsea have been in cracking form on home soil in the top flight recently, but there have been signs of tiredness from them along the way recently. They get to challenge a Bournemouth side who have improved themselves to go unbeaten in their last five league games, but the Cherries haven’t had the taste of victory out on the road for a while. But can they do what Leicester did to Chelsea recently at the Bridge and battle to a point?

Chelsea News and Form

Chelsea saw off Newcastle in the FA Cup on the weekend to move ahead and it is immediately back to the Bridge in midweek as they play host to Bournemouth in the Premier League. Chelsea are W8 D2 L2 at home this season in the top flight and they are unbeaten in their last eight there, a seven-match winning streak there being snapped with a 0-0 draw with Leicester in their last home fixture. So they are carrying strong home form and have been tough to score against. Chelsea have earned a clean sheet in each of their last four home games and have collected six in their last seven league games home and away. It’s been impressive stuff and Chelsea to win to nil at BetVictor is naturally going to have some appeal in this game. Chelsea have only conceded seven home goals in total this season at the Bridge. Going forward they have averaged 1.75 goals per game at home in the league. The Blues have beaten all bottom half of the table opposition they have faced at the Bridge this season, taking a clean sheet in all but one of those five opponents. Chelsea though have only scored more than one goal in four of their last six home games and a Chelsea to win by a one-goal margin because of that will have some big appeal as well as Chelsea 1-0 correct score.

Bournemouth News and Form

Bournemouth suffered 1-0 reverses this at Spurs and Manchester United so they have battled well and haven’t been trounced in some of their tougher away games. They don’t have a clean sheet in any of their last even games now and from their four visits to current top six sides this season, they haven’t managed to net a single goal. A half-time draw at BetVictor looks a decent proposition though for this because the Cherries have been level at the break in four of their last five games and, because Chelsea aren’t running riot in front of goal particularly in the league. The Cherries are unbeaten in their last five games in the league (W2 D3) but the two wins in that sequence both happened at home, leaving them winless in their last six top-flight road games (D4 L2) and they have been defensively leaky, conceding at least two goals in four of their last five away from the Vitality. Both teams not to score at BetVictor is a decent option for the game, despite the Cherries looking competitive, they have only scored nine away goals at the end of the day and they are going up against a very good home defence.

Chelsea v Bournemouth Head to Head

Chelsea have won three of their last four games at Stamford Bridge over the Cherries (L1). Chelsea have already recorded a league win and an EFL Cup win over Bournemouth this season and they are Chelsea are 8-2 up with no drawn match from their ten previous clashes. The Blues have three clean sheets in their five previous home games against the Cherries. Both of Bournemouth’s wins over Chelsea were by a 1-0 scoreline.

Chelsea v Bournemouth Predictions

Chelsea to win: The Blues have been a very good home side and they aren’t likely to lose this one. The Cherries have been doing much better but they haven’t found a winning touch on the road. This could be tight so back the Blues to win it by a one-goal margin.
