Valencia took fourth place in La Liga last season. That puts them into what is their 12th Champions League campaign. They have been to the final of the competition twice before, but not since their 2012/13 campaign have they made it past the group stage. Last season it was a third-place finish for them in their group behind Juventus and Manchester United. Valencia ran through to the semi-finals in the Europa League where they were stopped by Arsenal.
