It is six Cheltenham racing tips that we have for Saturday, 13th November 2021.

AL DANCER is heading up the horse racing betting market for this one at the moment. He will be looking to improve on a third-place finish in last year’s renewal.

Al Dancer goes for a new yard on Saturday and connections will be hoping that he continues his decent track record from fresh.

Al Dancer’s form slipped away after going close in this last season but rates a danger still, especially from fresh.

PROTEKTORAT has produced a fine campaign last term, winning three of five runs over the fences.

That’s an impressive start to his chasing career.

The pick of the form by Protektorat in all of that was a win at Aintree in April at Grade 1. He makes a return on a threatening mark.

MIDNIGHT SHADOW was third at Aintree last month and he has that bit of match sharpness behind him.

He is a two-time winner at Cheltenham and looks to be on a very workable mark.

Another who warrants respect for the shortlist is LALOR who has his first run for Paul Nicholls on Saturday.

Lalor went close at Cheltenham last year from higher and returns after a wind op, looking for a bounceback after a couple of misfires in the Spring.

Tip: PROTEKTORAT 13/2

Ones to watch: Midnight Shadow 11/1, Al Dancer 6/1

We dip into a smaller field here and each of the four declared have a reasonable chance in this competitive line-up.

MICK PASTOR is firing well this season, having won his first four over the fences.

He was second at Wincanton a week ago, following home Captain Tom Cat. There’s no reason why Mick Pastor can’t get heavily involved.

THIRD TIME LUCKI picked up a course and distance novice win three weeks ago.

That was an excellent jumping performance there which puts him in the frame if he can back it up.

The form of CAPTAIN TOM CAT can’t be ignored either having won four of six efforts over the fences.

He held off Mick Pastor comfortably to score on his latest at Wincanton a week ago.

SEBASTOPOL is very consistent in that he has taken a runner up spot in each of his last six efforts.

The latest of those was behind Mick Pastor at Exeter on his chase debut three weeks ago. There could be more to come, but there are some tough rivals for Sebastopol to get the better of.

Tip: MICK PASTOR 11/2

Ones to watch: Third Time Lucki 4/11, Captain Tom Cat 17/2

PROSCHEMA is likely to feature heavily on Saturday in this handicap action. There was a runner up spot from him at Grade 2 last time out, which was just a couple of weeks ago.

Proschema was on top of his game at the end of the last campaign, winning at Cheltenham and Aintree.

He’s also had a decent shift with a fifth at the Silver Trophy this season. Proschema should be involved.

BALLYMILLSY won at Newton Abbot on his reappearance race a month ago. That was so comfortable that the handicapper has given him an extra 8lb to work with on the weekend.

There has been superb progress made by Ballymillsy who probably still has more to unlock and rates a danger on a shorter trip.

SPORTING JOHN warrants respect as he returns after a win. He was at the highest level in the spring when his jumping form wasn’t right at all.

But he has won in this sphere before and could be that much better after the break and a wind op.

One for the shortlists is DRAGON BONES who scores on his hurdles debut in March from a long quote. He followed up with three more novice wins.

There was also a course and distance victory by Dragon Bones on his seasonable reappearance three weeks ago. Dragon Bones makes for an interesting candidate on his handicap debut.

Tip: BALLYMILLSY 10/3

Ones to watch: Dragon Bones 10/3, Sporting John 7/1

This looks like being a super competitive affair. UNEXPECTED PARTY rates a danger for it through after smashing a field at Wetherby on his handicap debut two weeks ago.

The handicapper got him all wrong on that occasion but has responded by handing Unexpected Party with a rise of 11lb for Saturday.

There should still be further improvement to come.

GOWEL ROAD won at course and distance earlier this year. He hasn’t touched back on that form from the start of the year.

But he takes on a longer trip and has had a reappearance run which could help.

MACKELDUFF has taken two wins from two this season. The latest of those was a handicap debut at Aintree three weeks ago.

Makcelduff finished very well there and rates a threat on Saturday.

Tip: MACKELDUFF 10/3

Ones to watch: Unexpected Party 3/1, Gowel Road 15/2

KNIGHT SALUTE has two wins from two racetrack appearances. He looks to have a lot more in the tank still to come as well.

The victories for Knight Salute came at Sedgefield and Kempton.

He still looks like he needs to run off some greenness, but should be a big player.

MAGISTRATO put in an eye-catching run to score at Chepstow for a new yard last time out.

The jumping looked good and that puts him in the frame.

MISTER ALLEGRO has won his first two racetrack appearances, the most recent of which was at Wincanton three weeks ago.

He looks to have taken to the hurdles very well after modest stuff on the flat prior.

Tip: MISTER ALLEGRO 11/2

Ones to watch: Knight Salute 9/2, Magistrato 7/4

There are plenty in this handicap field with claims. We start the shortlist options for horse racing betting with MINELLA ENCORE.

There was a victory for him a month ago at Fakenham.

This is a tougher assignment than he faced in that small field. But place claims should be firmly there from him.

STRICTLYADANCER was a winner last time out as well. That was at course and distance three weeks ago, getting his nose in front very well.

That was in a similar type of contest so he rates a big danger.

Strictlyadancer has been handed an extra 5lb to work with, but the manner of his C&D win suggests that he could handle it.

OPPOSITES ATTRACT is still a maiden over the fences, but there were some excellent efforts from him in defeat last season.

His Irish National effort that he closed last season with can easily be excused and Opposites Attract should have a chance.

ANOTHER VENTURE has joined Nicky Henderson and no last season’s reappearance run picked up a win, so has form from fresh.

That win was from 1lb lower as well and Another Venture looks an interesting entry.

Others to note from the big field are FORZA MILAN, FACT OF ThE MATTER and MILANFORD.

Tip: STRICTLYADANCER 5/1

Ones to watch: Opposites Attract 4/1, Minella Encore 7/1
