Aberdeen News and Form

The Dons picked up a 2-1 victory in both legs of their tie against RoPS from Finland in the first qualifying round. The second leg got a bit tense because the Finnish team had levelled the tie within the first two minutes of the kick-off of that second leg. Aberdeen hauled themselves over the finish line thanks to a Sam Cosgrove penalty and a 90th-minute goal from Lewis Ferguson.

Boss Derek McInnes will be striving for more convincing performances and results though, especially with tougher challenges to come. Still, they were busy in that first qualifying round tie, just not quite sharp enough to finish off a lot of chances that they created for themselves. Aberdeen are hoping to field a stronger team as well with the returns of Craig Bryson, Greg Leigh and Funso Ojo. The Dons are W3 L3 in their last six European away games.

Chikhura Sachkhere v Aberdeen Predictions

Aberdeen To win: The Dons should be claiming a win in this one, but on the evidence of how rusty they still are so early in the summer, it may not be a comfortable night. It may be worth taking a look at the Dons to win but for both teams to score as well.
