The Dons picked up a 2-1 victory in both legs of their tie against RoPS from Finland in the first qualifying round. The second leg got a bit tense because the Finnish team had levelled the tie within the first two minutes of the kick-off of that second leg. Aberdeen hauled themselves over the finish line thanks to a Sam Cosgrove penalty and a 90th-minute goal from Lewis Ferguson.
Boss Derek McInnes will be striving for more convincing performances and results though, especially with tougher challenges to come.
