That snapped a seven-match winning streak from the Welshman.

During that winning form, Williams had picked up the British middleweight title.

The other two losses in his professional career happened against Liam Smith when they met twice in 2017.

Chris Eubank Jr has never been stopped in his career. His two defeats came in the biggest two fights of his career but he stuck the distnace in both.

The first was against Billy Joe Saunders in 2014 for the European, British, and Commonwealth middleweight titles.

The other was his massive clash with George Groves for the WBC super-middleweight title in 2018. Eubank Jr lost his IBO title in that fight.

He’s done the heavier work having gone up a weight division and has looked extremely comfortable on reverting to middleweight.

Looking back to that fight Williams had against Andrade for the WBO middleweight title last year, Williams had been the mandatory challenger.

So he had worked his way into a big title shot.

He was knocked down in the second round in it, but to his credit stuck in there all the way to the end.

Getting through Eubank Jr looks like a tough call too.

But, we think this goes the distance. There’s a lot of pride at stake here.
