The Colombians picked up a 2-0 victory over Argentina to kick off their tournament. That was a massive boost for them. In their second game, they looked to have been frustrated by Qatar, but Duvan Zapata came to Colombia’s rescue four-minute from time. Incidentally, Zapata had also scored four minutes from time in their opening game against Argentina. So all that means that Colombia has won the group with a game to spare. So this is a perfect scenario for them now, they can rest key players without a hint of worry.

And that is where the big interest in this game is. If they go understrength, that raises the chance of Paraguay beating them. If Uruguay beat Colombia (remember Colombia have already won the group), then it would mean that Argentina can’t make the top two. It is back to back draws for Paraguay, one of them bad, one of them good. They blew a 2-0 lead in their opening game against Qatar to play out to a 2-2 draw. Paraguay had a huge chance to go back in front after that, but they had a spot-kick saved. So Paraguay will be defending second place in this game.
