The only thing that matters in football is GOALS. Goals win matches and goals win trophies.
There are many ways to take advantage of goals being scored but possibly the favorite is Correct Scores. Correct scores pay various prices according to many variables. In general, a minimum of 6.0 is available for any score.

The most popular scores seem to be 1-0, 2-0 and 1-1. These three scores amount for almost a third of all games in any very competitive league. Combining these three in any one match with the same three in another match as doubles would give nine bets. A successful double at the lowest expected odds would return 36 pts. A profit of 27 pts. So a successful strike rate of one double in four bets would be a break-level figure. For the more adventurous a bet on three matches in trebles would return 216 pts. A good profit from a 27pts layout.

Of course, the problem with any bet is making the right selections. This time of the season presents the kind of match which could be right up our street. Teams stuck in the middle of the table with nothing to fight for are the right kind of fodder for our bets. A look at head-to-heads for previous seasons can also be a big help. Also, should there be a local derby on the cards give it serious consideration. Check the recent form too. Even a shock result in a preceding week’s match shouldn’t be taken as a reason to give a match a miss. These teams have very little to fight for, except a bit of bonus. Anyway, the beaches of Barbados and other such places are beckoning. Just a few weeks away. One or more of such games might well find it’s way onto one of the big return correct score competitions each weekend.

A word of warning. for all matches in the last few weeks, Be prepared to see some unusual results. Also some freakish scores; especially on the last day of the season proper. There is always something or someone who upsets the applecart.

When the fun stops it’s time to stop, too.
