Because Manchester City made a clean sweep of the Premier League and FA Cup last season (they won the EFL Cup too) it means that Livperool face them because of the Reds finishing in second place in the league.
Manchester City won the Community Shield last summer against Chelsea and will be kicking off as slight favourites for the game. Liverpool pushed the Citizens as hard as they could last season, but they just couldn’t break Pep Guardiola’s men.
