France had something of a slow start to the tournament, but they exploded into life in their quarter final win over Iceland, really showing their confidence and ability. They have strikers in form with Olivier Giroud and Antoine Griezmann in the hunt for the Golden Boot and they have the pace and flair to create chances against a Germany side who had to come through extra time in their quarter final match up against a tough Italy side. France’s passage has seen them exert a lot less energy and that could be telling.
