Crystal Palace News and Form – Can Eagles pick up three points against Wolves?

Palace had a bit of a nightmare last weekend. They were brushed aside by Tottenham in a 4-0 defeat and all of those goals came in the first half. With Spurs going 3-0 up inside the first 25 minutes of the game, it pretty much killed the fixture as a competitive game. Before that loss at Tottenham, Palace had recorded back-to-back victories over Manchester United and then Aston Villa. Those back to back victories were both by a one-goal margin.

It has been only three goals this season than Palace have put on the board. They all came on those two victories of theirs. No team has scored fewer goals than in the top flight. Of their three goals, Jordan Ayew has netted two of them. They always looked as if they were going to have a problem finding goals this season and that has happened to an extent. So it would probably be by one goal margin if they were to get the win in this one. Palace haven’t conceded at home this season in their W1 D1 record. They have been level at half time in both home fixtures so far.

Crystal Palace v Wolves Head to Head

The two traded away wins last season
Palace have won four of the last five meetings
Both teams have scored in five of the last six meetings
Wolves have lost two of their last seven visits to Selhurst Park

Key-Facts – Crystal Palace v Wolves

  • Palace are unbeaten on home soil
  • Wolves are still winless this season in the EPL
  • Crystal Palace are the lowest scoring team in the top flight

Wolves News and Form – Can Wolves get first league win of 2019/20?

Wolves lost in the Europa League at home to Braga on Thursday night and it just continued the tough time of things that they are having. Last season they were so confident, such a strong team, but they aren’t there at the moment. They look a little disjointed. They did have a lot of games to get through the Europa League qualifiers, and that has been blamed by some for their poor Premier League form.  It’s exactly what happened to Burnley last season.

It is a D2 L3 record that Wolves, seventh-place finishers in the top flight last season, have taken so far this term. Wolves have the third joint-worst defensive record in the league. You look at their lineup and there is so much creative talent in there, and it came good last season. Now they are looking for a bit of grit. Is it there? Five of their six league goals this season have come in the second half of fixtures. Wolves have been losing at halftime in all but one of their EPL fixtures in this campaign. In total home and away it has been eight goals conceded in their last two Premier League games, but they have scored exactly two goals in their last two.

Crystal Palace v Wolves Predictions

Palace to win: Given that Wolves had a disappointing shift in Europe on Thursday night, there could be a good chance for Palace in this one. This does have the look of being a low scoring match up. Home win by a one-goal margin.
