Derby County News and Form – Rams to return to winning ways at home?

Since arriving at Pride Park in the summer, Phillip Cocu has guided Derby County to just one away win, which was at Huddersfield Town in his first game in charge. The Rams have lost each of their last five on the road without scoring a single goal.

However, Derby have been a completely different animal at Pride Park. Bristol City remain the only side to have beaten them on their own patch, with County winning five and drawing four of nine since then. After five successive home wins, County have drawn their previous two, though.

Having failed to win home or away in four, the pressure is on Cocu. The Dutchman has yet to win over the fans at Pride Park, as County have spent the majority of the season in the bottom half of the table. Can they get back to winning ways at home at the weekend?

Millwall News and Form – Will Rowett’s Lions make it two away wins in a week?

Millwall could be dark horses in the play-off race this season. The Lions came close a couple of seasons ago under Neil Harris, but will Gary Rowett be the man to get them over the line? The new boss has made a superb start at The Den, guiding the London club to four wins from eight games.

Millwall have been very hard to beat under his tenure also, losing only to Reading at the Madejski Stadium. After three consecutive draws, the Lions battled to an outstanding 2-1 win at Bristol City in midweek, with Jed Wallace and Jake Cooper getting the goals at Ashton Gate.

Millwall fear nobody in the Championship, and they head to Pride Park in great spirits after the brilliant win in Bristol. Can the Lions become the first visiting team to win at Derby since August?

Derby County vs Millwall Predictions

Draw: As mentioned, Derby County are a very tough nut to crack on their own patch. If they can sort out their away form, the Rams could make a dash for the play-offs in the second half of the season.

Millwall have been extremely solid under their new boss, and their victory at Bristol City in midweek was a highlight to their season. Before Tuesday’s triumph, the Lions had battled to successive draws with Wigan Athletic, Birmingham City and Nottingham Forest. I’m backing Millwall to draw (11/5) at Pride Park on Saturday.

Millwall’s Jed Wallace has had a fine season thus far, netting eight Championship goals. Half of those have come since Rowett joined, and the 25-year-old is available at 11/4 to score anytime this weekend.
