Outcome in the balance at Doncaster
The Play ITV7 Tonight Novices’ Handicap Chase will test the stamina of the five declared runners but that won’t impact Stockburn. Alan King’s runner was placed over an extended 3m6f last time at Exeter and reverts to novice company on a 2lb lower mark. He is a best 9/4.
Nesterenko has every chance on the form book as he was placed twice off higher handicap marks last May. He’s won four times over hurdles but is much older than his rivals and a record of 0-9 over fences if off-putting considering his odds ( general 11/4).
FINANCIAL OUTCOME has yet to win a race under Rules but has won twice in point-to-points. He’s relatively unexposed in excess of 3m and gives every impression that he wants a distance of note. Rebecca Curtis has not had many runners since the turn of year but that is set to change over the coming week and the booking of Aidan Coleman for the Welsh raider suggests he’ll improve on his three runs to date over fences having dropped another 3lb. The general 10/3 looks fair in an open race.
