Horse Racing Betting

The Crowne Plaza Dundalk Race & Stay Handicap at Dundalk this Friday is a Bet365 feature race linked with one of their current offers.

How it works:
Place a Win or Each Way single bet at odds of 4/1 or more on a Bet365 Feature Race.
If your first single bet on that race wins, you will qualify for a risk free bet to the same stake (up to £50*) on the next Bet365 Feature Race.
Place your risk free bet using existing funds and if the bet loses we will refund your stake (up to £50*).
If your risk free bet also wins at odds of 4/1 or more, you qualify for a risk free bet on the next bet365 Feature Race.

Significant Terms and Conditions
This offer is only available to new and eligible customers.

This offer applies to the FIRST single bet placed by a customer on each Bet365 Feature Race.

This offer will not apply where a stake has been fully Cashed Out. Where a stake has been partially Cashed Out, any refund amount or subsequent risk free bet amount will be equal to the remaining active stake.

If a qualifying bet is edited using our Edit Bet feature, any refund amount will be equal to the new stake and not the original stake. Where a risk free bet is changed using Edit Bet, no refund will be given and the offer will no longer apply.

Where more than one selection in the same race is placed on the same bet slip, the first selection is deemed to be the one which is highest on the bet slip.

Offer applies to bets placed on Win and Each Way Fixed Odds markets and Enhanced Place Terms markets only. All other markets, including adjusted place terms (Each Way Extra), Ante-Post bets and Tote/Pari-Mutuel/Colossus (bets and dividends), are excluded from this offer.

This offer is available with Bet365 on two races per day or selected full race meetings when there is no scheduled live ITV Racing.

Bets must be placed in the usual way and can be paid for from either your Withdrawable Balance or Bet Credits. Bets placed from your Withdrawable Balance will be refunded to your Withdrawable Balance and bets placed using Bet Credits will be refunded as Bet Credits.

No Caution required with Approach

CAUTIOUS APPROACH has won on Turf but is best on the Polytrack at Dundalk.
Available at 9/2 with Bet365, the Dawn Approach mare won at the track last month and only narrowly failed to defy a 6lb rise two weeks ago.
She is in good heart at present and it’s hard to see Muzbid (8/1 with Bet365) reversing recent form on the same terms with Donagh O’Connor’s mount having the plum draw. .

Tonkinese has something to prove

Tonkinese is also a best 9/2 but he has something to prove having been a disappointing favourite when tried over 1m4f on Polytrack for the first time three weeks ago.
Joseph O’Brien has tried him over a variety of distances but he’s not won for a very long time and looks a risky proposition.

Irradiate may outshine stablemate

Also trained by Joseph O’Brien, Irradiate has only had seven career starts to date.
He won on Polytrack at Dundalk in November but that was over 2m with both subsequent runs coming over that longer distance.
He has a chance at the general 11/2 but there is a danger he could find a couple have to much pace in the closing stages.

Go with Gougane?

Gougane Barra is probably some value at 8/1 with Bet365.
Mick Halford’s charge has never won beyond a mile and both runs since returning over a break have come at 1m2f but he has placed over 1m4f at Dundalk.
An outside draw may not aid his cause but it is not hard to imagine running a sound race.

Predictions

Cautious Approach has a few ticks in the right boxes.
Donagh O’Connor’s 3lb allowance is a positive as is an inside draw on this tight track. She was only beaten half-a-length off today’s mark last time and may find the small improvement required to hold off the top weight Irradiate and Gougane Barra.
