BRIAN BORANHA won the 2019 edition of the Durham National and makes his seasonal reappearance in this one.

He’s a useful enough chaser and on his latest, he was here at Sedgefield in March.

Brain Boranha took third place in that effort and usually churns out a good performance at the venue.

The absence probably isn’t too much of a concern and has enough to make his presence felt.

Classic Escape could show well

The last time that CLASSIC ESCAPE was seen was in the Edinburgh National at Musselburgh in February.

So he’s back after a long absence as well after crashing out of that contest. But there are some previous good pieces of form there.

Classic Escape is progressive and won well at Southwell last season before taking a runner up spot in the Borders National at Kelso.

Montanna could be the surprise package

There is nothing wrong with the form of MONTANNA who could offer plenty at Sedgefield on Sunday.

SILVA ECLIPSE can’t be written out after battling with credit to take a fifth in a strong Haydock chase on his latest. On his penultimate run, Silva Eclipse got off the mark in chasing here at Sedgefield.

MANWELL scored at Sedgefield in December, the best piece of form from his most recent efforts. He closed out last season with a second at Southwell.

BAFANA BLUE shouldn’t be taken lightly in this contest either. Back in April, he got his first win in a couple of years with a 3m chase success at Wetherby. He has continued in very decent form since then.

YOUNG TURK is well out of the handicap here and the 10-year-old, who hasn’t had a great run for such a long time, looks as if he’ll be treading water on Sunday in this challenging contest.
