It has emerged that there was a big winner on the horse racing from Wolverhampton last Friday. The punter in question got a huge €9,632 return from a bet at bookmaker Boylesports. It was just a €15 stake on the action from the night’s all-weather card. The stake itself was on a 0.5 each way Lucky 15 bet.
So an ambitious bet, but the wager was worth a lot more than it started out as by the end of the night. Diamond Reflection (7/1) ran home in the 5.10 race at Wolverhampton to kick the beat off into winning gear. Then Grey Destiny (12/1) War And Glory (7/1) followed it up in the 6.15 and 6.45 meetings.
There was a wait of a good half hour, an half hour of sweating for the punter, between the running of the third and fourth picks. The final selection was 8/1 shot Perfect Refuge, who ran home to see the punter claim the massive winning in what BoyleSports described as a ‘savvy’ selection from their customer.
