A punter up on the Borders collected more than £20,000 from a £3 accumulator bet from bookmaker SkyBet over the weekend. Punter Lewis Elliot had bet that both teams would score in both halves of three matches, namely Crawley Town v Carlisle United, Hibernian v Aberdeen and Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur.
There were massive 6858/1 odds running on the bet and that led to winnings of £20,577.
Both teams scored in both halves of the Aberdeen v Hibs Scottish Cup match. Later, Crawley and Carlisle also scored goals in both halves of their game.
Sealing the deal with Sunday’s 75th-minute goal from Eden Hazard in Chelsea’s FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham. SkyBet confirmed his betting slip on Twitter, saying “enjoy your winnings”.
