Elsewhere, league leaders Reading entertain Stoke City at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Which teams will head into the break on a high? Check out our picks from matchday 11 in the Championship.

EFL Championship Matchday 11: Best Betting Football Tips

Cardiff City vs. Bristol City: EFL Betting Tip

Severnside rivals Cardiff and Bristol City square off at the Cardiff City Stadium in the Welsh capital on Friday evening. The Bluebirds picked up their first home win of the season in midweek. Can Harris’ troops make it two home victories on the spin?

Cardiff, who reached the Championship play-offs last term, have not been at their best this season. The club from Wales’ capital have won three, drawn four and lost three of ten league fixtures. However, they were impressive on Tuesday, easing past Barnsley with a 3-0 victory at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Holden made an outstanding start to life as Bristol City manager, guiding the Robins to four wins from their opening four league matches. However, the midweek victory at Huddersfield Town was Bristol City’s first success in six.

When these two rivals last met, Cardiff nicked a 1-0 victory at Ashton Gate back in July. We fancy a similar kind of outcome from this one. You can get 11/4 for the Bluebirds to win by one goal on home soil.

Reading vs. Stoke City: Best Football League Betting Predictions

Veljko Paunovic’s Reading will be eager to return to winning ways after back-to-back defeats. This Saturday, the Royals, who still lead the way in the Championship, entertain Michael O’Neill’s Stoke at the Madejski Stadium.

Paunovic started life in Berkshire in superb style. The former Chicago Fire boss guided Reading to a staggering seven wins and a draw from eight Championship matches. However, after a 3-2 loss to Coventry City, the Royals were thrashed 3-0 by Preston North End at the Madejski in midweek.

Stoke have made a steady start to their season. However, after going seven league and cup games unbeaten (five wins, two draws), the Potters head to the Madejski having lost two of their last three in the Championship. Last Wednesday, City shipped at the death to lose 3-2 at Watford.

Reading may be the league leaders but Stoke are the favourites in this one. In truth, this could go either way, so our money is going on the draw. The stalemate and both teams to score is nicely priced at 7/2.

Birmingham City vs. Bournemouth: EFL Championship Betting Odds & Predictions

Aitor Karanka’s Birmingham City have lost two of their last three at St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium. Bournemouth were beaten for the first time in league action this season in midweek. Who will come out on top when the Blues host the Cherries at St Andrew’s on Saturday afternoon?

Birmingham recently picked up back-to-back 2-1 wins, seeing off Huddersfield Town and Preston. However, they were on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline on Wednesday, falling to a shock home reverse to lowly Wycombe Wanderers.

Despite losing 1-0 at Sheffield Wednesday last time out, Jason Tindall has done a decent job at Bournemouth since taking over from the popular Eddie Howe. However, having won only one of their previous six, the Cherries could do with all three points this weekend.

Tindall will be looking for a reaction from his players after Tuesday’s loss at Hillsborough. The Cherries should squeeze past Birmingham on Saturday. The away victory is available at 23/20.

Norwich City vs. Swansea City: Best EFL Betting Tips on Matchday 11

The standout Championship game on matchday 11 sees Daniel Farke’s Norwich City and Steve Cooper’s Swansea City go head-to-head at Carrow Road on Saturday. The Swans sit second, with the Canaries a place and point below in third. This promises to be a Championship cracker in Norfolk.

After a slow start to life back in the second tier, Farke’s men have found their feet, winning four and drawing two of their past six. However, having been held to a 0-0 home draw by Millwall last Tuesday, Norwich will be hoping to get back to winning ways on their own patch this Saturday.

Cooper’s Swansea have been very impressive so far, winning five, drawing four and losing only one of their opening ten. The Welsh outfit are just three points behind leaders Reading, and victory at Carrow Road coupled with a Royals defeat will see Swansea head into the international break at the top of the table.

Unfortunately for Cooper’s Swans, we fancy Norwich to edge an entertaining game. In the 2018-19 Championship season, there were six goals scored across the two meetings. Have a punt on home win and over 3.5 goals in this one at 11/2.
