Mick McCarthy’s Cardiff and Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough meet at the Cardiff City Stadium in the Championship on Saturday afternoon. The Bluebirds head into this one hoping to avoid an eighth straight league defeat.
Cardiff made a decent start but have been in abysmal form over the past couple of months or so. The midweek loss at Fulham was the Welsh club’s seventh Championship reverse in a row. City have now lost nine of their last ten in all competitions and are one place above the drop zone.
Middlesbrough have been inconsistent this season but have been in decent form of late. Since back-to-back losses to Blackpool and Reading, Warnock’s men have won three of their following four. However, they have picked up just one away victory this term.
Defeat will surely be the end for McCarthy at Cardiff, but a positive result could see the experienced manager live to fight another day. We are backing the draw and both teams to score in this one at 18/5.

Scott Parker’s high-flying Bournemouth welcome Carlos Corberan’s in-form Huddersfield to the Vitality Stadium this Saturday. The Cherries have yet to lose in the league this season and will be targeting another three points from this one.
Bournemouth have been the real deal in the second tier so far, winning nine and drawing four of their opening 13 Championship matches. After an impressive 1-0 victory at Stoke City in midweek, the Cherries stretched their lead at the top to five points.
Huddersfield have been one of the surprise packages in this season’s Championship, amassing a more than respectable 21 points. Corberan’s troops are in sixth spot after six wins, three draws and four defeats. They head to Dorset on a four-game unbeaten run (two wins, two draws).

After suffering a disappointing result in Swansea in midweek, Valerien Ismael’s West Brom will be desperate to get back to winning ways when they entertain Nigel Pearson’s Bristol City at The Hawthorns on Saturday.
