Queens Park Rangers vs. Nottingham Forest: EFL Betting Tip

The Championship weekend gets up and running on Friday night when QPR welcome Nottingham Forest to the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. Rangers have made a solid start, though they head into this one having lost two of their last three in the league.

Mark Warburton’s boys have been in patchy form of late, winning three and losing two of their previous five Championship matches. Still, they are nicely placed in seventh at present, level on points with sixth and fifth. Can they get back to winning ways here?

Our betting prediction:
Both teams to score
8/11

Nottingham Forest have improved drastically since Steve Cooper’s arrival, but the Reds were brought back down to earth with a bump by high-flying Fulham last weekend. Having sealed four straight wins, Forest lost 4-0 at home to the Cottagers.

After defeats last time out, both teams will be on the search for maximum points from this one. The pair are hard to split on paper, and we can see them cancelling each another out in the capital. Take a punt on the draw and both teams to score at 18/5.

Fulham vs. West Bromwich Albion: Best Football League Betting Predictions

Marco Silva’s Fulham and Valerien Ismael’s West Brom square off at Craven Cottage in a huge Championship encounter on Saturday afternoon. With just one place and one point separating the pair, this could be a close one in west London.

Fulham have responded expertly well from their shock 4-1 loss at Coventry City before the last international break. Silva’s side have returned to action with three wins on the bounce, seeing off QPR, Cardiff City and Nottingham Forest. The Londoners are second on 29 points.

West Brom also picked up a comfortable win last weekend, with goals from Jordan Hugill, Kyle Bartley and Karlan Grant giving them a 3-0 triumph over Bristol City. Before that result, the Baggies had lost two of three.

Both teams will be looking for an instant return to the Premier League after suffering relegation last term, so this is a vital game for the pair. We fancy Fulham to make home advantage count and nick a narrow victory. Take a punt on the Cottagers to win by one goal at 11/4.

Stoke City vs. Cardiff City: EFL Betting Odds & Predictions

Stoke City and Cardiff lock horns at the bet365 Stadium in Championship action this Saturday afternoon. At the time of writing, the Bluebirds are without a manager after the sacking of Mick McCarthy last weekend.

Michael O’Neill’s Stoke made a strong start to their season. However, the Potters have been in poor form of late, suffering three successive defeats to Sheffield United, Bournemouth and Millwall. As a result, Stoke have slipped out of the top six down to ninth.

Cardiff are on one of the worse runs in their history at present. Last weekend’s 2-0 home loss to Middlesbrough was the club’s eighth consecutive Championship defeat. The Welsh side have lost ten of their past 11 league and cup games.

A change in management can often change the fortunes of a club, and Cardiff will be desperate to avoid a ninth consecutive league reverse at the weekend. It will not be easy, but we are backing the Bluebirds to snatch a point in Stoke (12/5).

Reading vs. Bournemouth: Best EFL Championship Betting Tips on Matchday 15

The final Championship fixture of the round is the tasty looking affair at the Select Car Leasing Stadium on Saturday night between Reading and Bournemouth. Scott Parker’s men will be looking for a fifth straight victory.

Reading have had a mixed bag of results at the start of this season. After 14 matches in the Championship, the Royals have won six, lost seven and drawn one. They have lost their last two to Blackpool and Blackburn Rovers.

Bournemouth have been the real deal in the Championship up until now. Parker’s troops are the only unbeaten side, winning ten and drawing four of their opening 14 league matches. Since a goalless draw at Peterborough United a month back, the Dorset club have secured successive wins over Sheffield United, Bristol City, Stoke and Huddersfield Town.

With Reading losing the last two, while Bournemouth are flying high at the top, we can only see one winner in this one. No games are in easy in the Championship, but the Cherries should stroll to maximum points in this one. There is good value in 15/8 for the away side to be winning at half time and full time.
