EFL Championship Matchday 17: Best Betting Football Tips

Bournemouth vs. Swansea City: EFL Betting Tip

After suffering their first league defeat of the season in midweek, Scott Parker’s Bournemouth will be hoping to get back to winning ways at the first time of asking. On Saturday, the Cherries welcome Russell Martin’s improving Swansea to the Vitality Stadium.

Despite losing at home to Preston North End on Wednesday, Bournemouth remain top of the Championship table. However, the gap has been cut to just two points. Overall, the Cherries have picked up 11 wins, drawn four times and suffered just one defeat.

Our betting prediction:
Both teams to score

Martin is finally getting his message across at Swansea, as the Welsh club head to Dorset having won four of their past five in the Championship. The Swans’ superb upswing in fortunes has lifted them up to 11th, now just two points away from the play-off positions.

Bournemouth will be desperate to bounce back, but we fancy in-form Swansea to hold them to a draw. You can get the top price of 4/1 for the draw and both teams to score.

Bournemouth 8/11

Swansea City 4/1

Cardiff City vs. Huddersfield Town: Best Football League Betting Predictions

Cardiff entertain Huddersfield at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Bluebirds crashed to another defeat in midweek, stretching their winless run in the Championship to ten games. Will they suffer another loss this weekend?

Managerless Cardiff head into this one having lost a staggering 11 of their last 13 league and cup games. They came from three goals down to draw 3-3 at Stoke City last weekend, but City were beaten 1-0 at home by QPR on Wednesday. Cardiff are just one point above the drop zone in 21st.

Huddersfield have proved their doubters wrong this season, as they are level on points with fifth and sixth in seventh after 16 games played. Town have picked up seven wins, drawn four and lost five so far. Can they go into the international break in the top six?

Huddersfield have lost only one of their past seven in the league, beating the likes of Blackburn Rovers, Hull City and Millwall during that run. We fancy the Yorkshire side to pile more misery on sorry Cardiff this Saturday. The away victory is nicely priced at 9/4.

Cardiff City 13/10

Huddersfield Town 9/4

Peterborough United vs. Fulham: EFL Betting Odds & Predictions

High-flying Fulham are on the road again this weekend, as Marco Silva takes his in-form troops to the Weston Homes Stadium to face Darren Ferguson’s Peterborough. The Cottagers will want their 12th league victory of the campaign.

Posh, who finished runners-up in EFL League One last term, have had a difficult start to life back in the Championship. United have improved of late, though, collecting seven points from their last four games. Can Peterborough cause an upset here?

Fulham are the form side of the Championship right now, winning each of their last five. The Cottages have scored a staggering 20 goals in those five fixtures. In midweek, the London outfit thumped Blackburn 7-0 at Ewood Park.

Fulham are looking unstoppable as they hunt down Bournemouth at the top. They have won four in a row without conceding a single goal, and Silva’s side are priced at 17/10 to win to nil this weekend.

Peterborough United 21/4
Draw 3/1
Fulham 8/15

Blackpool vs. Queens Park Rangers: Best EFL Championship Betting Tips on Matchday 17

The final Championship match before the international break will take place at Bloomfield Road on Saturday evening when Blackpool face QPR. After a three-game winning run, the Tangerines were beaten in midweek. Can Neil Critchley’s boys get back to winning ways in this one?

After a slow start, Blackpool have settled into Championship life lately, picking up an impressive seven wins from their last 11 league matches. Last term’s League One play-off winners are just a point away from the play-off spots.

QPR are in the top six after amassing 25 points from their opening 16 games. The Hoops ended their poor away run with an excellent three points in Cardiff on Wednesday, with Andre Gray scoring the only goal of the game in the Welsh capital.

There is not a lot to split these two in the table, with QPR just one point ahead of Pool. The London side would no doubt take a draw at Bloomfield Road, but we fancy Mark Warburton’s men to leave Lancashire with all three points on Saturday evening. Have a punt on the away team to win by one goal at 16/5.

Blackpool 9/5
Draw 9/4
Queens Park Rangers 31/20
