EFL Championship Matchday 20: Best Betting Football Tips

West Bromwich Albion vs. Nottingham Forest: EFL Betting Tip

On Friday night, Valerien Ismael’s West Brom entertain Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest at The Hawthorns. After a patchy run of results of late, the Baggies will be hoping to make home advantage count in this one. However, Forest have lost just one of their past 12.

West Brom have picked up only one win from their last five league games. After a poor 1-0 away loss at Huddersfield Town last weekend, Ismael’s men drew 0-0 with in-form Blackpool at Bloomfield Road in midweek. Their poor form has seen them slip nine points behind the leaders.

Our betting prediction:
Karlan Grant to score first
7/2

Cooper has done an excellent job since taking over the City Ground, with just Fulham getting the better of his Nottingham Forest side so far. The Reds have been tough to beat in recent months, though four of their last five have ended in draws.

This is a tough one to call, as both teams are capable of nicking it. However, we fancy Forest to draw for a fifth time in six matches. Check out the draw and both teams to score at 4/1.

Preston North End vs. Fulham: Best Football League Betting Predictions

Preston entertain Fulham at Deepdale in Saturday’s early kick off in the Championship. After their seven-game winning streak came to an end in midweek, Marco Silva’s Cottagers will be looking for all three points from this one. As you would expect, the visitors are the bookies’ favourites.

After back-to-back losses to Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City, Preston picked up a precious three points in midweek. They were 1-0 down at Middlesbrough with just 13 minutes to go, but late goals from Ched Evans and Emil Ris Jakobsen turned the game on its head at the Riverside Stadium.

Fulham’s stunning unbeaten run came to an end in midweek, as bottom club Derby held the leaders to frustrating 0-0 draw at Craven Cottage. Prior to that, Silva’s men had won seven on the bounce, scoring 25 goals to boot.

They were frustrated in the week, but we can see Fulham bouncing back with a comfortable away victory this weekend. Put some money on the Cottagers to win -1 at 13/5.

Bournemouth vs. Coventry City: EFL Betting Odds & Predictions

Scott Parker’s Bournemouth and Mark Robins’ Coventry meet in a tasty-looking encounter at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Having taken just one point from the last six on offer, can the Cherries secure a vital three points from this home game?

Bournemouth made a stunning start to their season under new boss Parker. However, they have gone off the boil in recent games, taking just four points from the last four. They were beaten at Derby last weekend before battling to a 1-1 draw with Millwall at The Den in midweek.

Coventry have proved their doubters wrong this season. There is still a long way to go, but the Sky Blues look like genuine play-off candidates right now. City are sitting pretty in fifth place, amassing an impressive 32 points from 19 matches.

Bournemouth are the favourites on home soil, but we fancy Coventry to nick a point at the Vitality. There is good value in 10/3 for the draw and under 2.5 goals.

Bournemouth 17/20

Coventry City 18/5

Derby County vs. Queens Park Rangers: Best EFL Championship Betting Tips on Matchday 20

Derby and QPR meet in the final game of matchday 20 on Monday night. Despite the off-field issues, the Rams have been tough to beat this season. As for Rangers, they are currently in fourth spot after making a superb start to their campaign. This should be a fascinating fixture at Pride Park.

Derby were recently deducted more points, but Rooney’s men have not let if effect their performances on the pitch. They stunned Bournemouth at Pride Park last weekend before holding Fulham to a goalless draw in midweek. Both of their opponents went into the round of fixtures at the top.

Mark Warburton’s QPR have had a fine season up until now. The London outfit are in fourth position after nine wins from their opening 19 games. Rangers are unbeaten in five in the league, winning three and drawing two. They beat Luton Town and Huddersfield in the last week.

Derby are rooted to the foot of the table, but Rooney’s men have not been an easy nut to crack this season. In fact, only Millwall, West Brom, Bournemouth and Fulham have suffered fewer Championship defeats. Put some money on the Derby or draw double chance bet at 4/7.
