EFL Championship Matchday 22: Best Betting Football Tips

Huddersfield Town vs. Coventry City: EFL Betting Tip

The Championship weekend kicks off at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday afternoon as Huddersfield entertain Coventry. The pair have surprised many by their starts, but both could do with a positive result in this one after some patchy form.

Huddersfield have flirted with the play-offs at times this term, but the Terriers have picked up just one win from their last six. After defeats to QPR and Middlesbrough, Town did manage a draw with lowly Barnsley last time out.

Coventry have enjoyed a fine second season back in the Championship, but the Sky Blues are without a win in four. City dropped out of the top six last weekend after losing 2-1 at home to West Bromwich Albion. Mark Robins’ side have taken just three points from the last 12 on offer.

Coventry have been superb at the Coventry Building Society Arena but have struggled on the road this season. The Midlands club have picked up just one away victory since August. They have drawn their last two away games, though, and the stalemate on Saturday is priced at 21/10.

Bournemouth vs. Blackburn Rovers: Best Football League Betting Predictions

Scott Parker’s Bournemouth will be looking for their first win in five when Blackburn visit the Vitality Stadium this Saturday. Rovers are in good form, winning six of their last eight to fire their way into fourth. Who will come out on top in this tasty Championship clash?

Bournemouth made a stunning start under Parker, but wins have dried up of late. The Cherries have won just one of their last six in the Championship and have taken a mere three points from the last 12 on the table. After losing at Derby County, Bournemouth have drawn three in a row.

Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn are one of the form teams in the Championship right now. Since a humbling 7-0 home loss to a rampant Fulham in early November, Rovers have dropped two points from five games. Three straight wins have fired Blackburn into fourth.

This is arguably the standout fixture of the weekend as second host fourth. It could go either way, but we fancy the hosts to edge it. Back Bournemouth to win by one goal at 5/2.

Luton Town vs. Fulham: EFL Betting Odds & Predictions

Championship leaders Fulham make the trip to Kenilworth Road to play Luton on Saturday. Marco Silva’s Cottagers will be hoping to end a run of three straight draws with three points in Bedfordshire. The away team are the clear favourites.

Luton head into this one against the leaders in patchy form. Before last weekend’s impressive 3-0 victory at Blackpool, the Hatters had drawn one and lost three of four. Nathan Jones’ men have lost to Stoke City and Cardiff City in their last two at home.

Fulham are on an incredible ten-game unbeaten run in the Championship. However, after seven straight wins, the Cottagers have drawn three in a row. Despite taking only three points from the last nine on offer, Silva’s side still sit pretty at the Championship’s summit.

Fulham will certainly fancy their chances of getting back to winning ways this weekend. We are backing the London team to win by a margin at Kenilworth Road, so check out Unibet’s decent odds of 12/5 for the away win -1.

Sheffield United vs. Queens Park Rangers: Best EFL Championship Betting Tips on Matchday 22

The final Championship game of the weekend will see Paul Heckingbottom’s Sheffield United and Mark Warburton’s QPR lock horns at Bramall Lane on Sunday afternoon. The Blades have finally found some form, while Rangers will be hoping to bounce back from the Stoke defeat.

Sheffield United have won three on the spin. After wins over Reading and Bristol City, the Blades came from behind to win 3-2 at the Cardiff City Stadium last Saturday. Nine points out of nine has taken Sheffield United up to tenth, now just five points adrift of the play-offs.

QPR have had an excellent season under Warburton so far. However, they suffered a disappointing 2-0 home loss to fellow promotion hopefuls Stoke last Sunday. Prior to that, the London outfit had won four and drawn two of six league games.

This fascinating Championship fixture really is a tough one to call. Because of that, our money is going on the stalemate. There looks good value in 10/3 for the draw and under 2.5 goals.

Sheffield United 22/25

Queens Park Rangers 17/5
