EFL Championship Matchday 24: Best Betting Football Tips

Bournemouth vs. Luton Town: EFL Betting Tip

Bournemouth welcome Luton Town to the Vitality Stadium in Championship action this Saturday. Jason Tindall’s Cherries will want to hit back with a win after dropping points at home to Millwall in midweek. The hosts are the big favourites in this one.

Bournemouth missed the chance to move back into the automatic promotion spots after being held to a 1-1 home draw by Millwall on Tuesday. Nevertheless, the Dorset club are in good form, and they will be expecting to get back to winning ways on home soil this weekend.

Our betting prediction:
Bournemouth to score 3+ goals
5/2

Luton are having a fine season under Nathan Jones, but the Hatters have failed to win any of their last six away matches in the league, losing four and drawing two. Still, Town have won eight times and sit comfortably in 14th.

Bournemouth will be looking for an easy win on their own patch at the weekend. Check out the solid odds of 31/20 for the home team to win -1.

Cardiff City vs. Norwich City: Best Football League Betting Predictions

Championship leaders Norwich are on the road this weekend, as Daniel Farke takes his high-flying Canaries to South Wales to play Cardiff. The Bluebirds are in poor form, losing each of their past four league and cup fixtures.

Since four league wins on the spin, Cardiff have gone on to lose five of their following six in all competitions. Just last month, Neil Harris’ boys were beaten 2-0 by Norwich at Carrow Road. The Welsh side languish in 15th place with just 29 points to their name.

Norwich have been in stunning form of late, winning six of their last eight in the Championship. After taking a point from two games, City got back to winning ways with a vital 1-0 home win over Barnsley a fortnight ago. They also beat Coventry City in the FA Cup last weekend.

As we touched on, Norwich made light work of Cardiff when the pair locked horns at Carrow Road a few weeks back, as goals from Emiliano Buendia and Todd Cantwell gave the Canaries a comfortable 2-0 win. A repeat scoreline on Saturday is available at 10/1.

Watford vs. Huddersfield Town: EFL Betting Odds & Predictions

Xisco Munoz’s Watford host Carlos Corberan’s Huddersfield Town at Vicarage Road this Saturday. The Hornets will be looking for a win after three defeats in their last four league and cup matches. However, the Terriers won the reverse fixture last month.

Vladimir Ivic was relieved of his duties after Watford were beaten 2-0 by Huddersfield at the John Smith’s Stadium last month. Replacement Munoz started with a 1-0 home win over leaders Norwich, but Watford have lost to Swansea City and Manchester United (FA Cup) in their last two.

Huddersfield have had a solid enough season under new boss Corberan, but the Terriers have struggled away from home. In fact, only Wycombe Wanderers, Rotherham United and Sheffield Wednesday have picked up fewer away points in the Championship so far.

The Hertfordshire club have the best home record in the division, picking up an impressive 26 home points. Watford should be too strong for Huddersfield at Vicarage Road this Saturday. Back the hosts to be winning at half time and full time at 8/5.

Barnsley vs. Swansea City: Best EFL Betting Tips on Matchday 24

The final Championship fixture of the round promises to be a cracker on Saturday evening, as in-form Barnsley and high-flying Swansea clash at Oakwell. The Swans, who currently sit second, head to Yorkshire as the slight favourites.

Valerien Ismael has turned the Tykes’ fortunes around since taking over in October. Overall, Ismael has won 11 of his 17 league and cup matches. However, they were beaten at Norwich in their previous Championship encounter.

Swansea are going great guns under popular boss Steve Cooper. The Welsh side are sitting pretty in second place with 43 points to their name, just four points behind leaders Norwich. City have won four and drawn one of their last five in all competitions.

Swansea have a solid record on the road this season, and they will fancy their chances of edging past Barnsley at Oakwell this Saturday. Back the Swans to win by one goal at 10/3.
