EFL Championship Matchday 27: Best Betting Football Tips

Cardiff City vs. Blackburn Rovers: EFL Betting Tip

Steve Morison’s Cardiff welcome Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn to the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Bluebirds have the worst home record in the league, while Rovers are one of the form sides in the Championship right now.

Cardiff have had a dreadful time on home turf this term, though they did beat fellow Championship side Preston North End in the FA Cup at the Cardiff City Stadium last weekend. In their last league match, Morison’s men held West Brom to a 1-1 draw at The Hawthorns.

Our betting prediction:
Both teams to score
4/5

Blackburn have been in stunning form over the past few months, winning nine of their last 12 in the Championship. Mowbray’s troops have gone from mid-table mediocracy to genuine promotion candidates. Before a 0-0 draw against in-form Huddersfield Town in their last league match, Blackburn had won six in a row.

Cardiff will be buoyed after their home win in the cup last weekend, and we fancy the Welsh outfit to hold Rovers to a draw in this one. The stalemate is priced at 11/5.

Luton Town vs. Bournemouth: Best Football League Betting Predictions

Championship leaders Bournemouth make the trip to Kenilworth Road this Saturday to face Luton. The Hatters are a tough nut to crack on their day, but Scott Parker’s Cherries head to Bedfordshire as the bookies’ favourites.

Luton have blown hot and cold this season, though they go into this game having won two and drawn one of their previous three league and cup fixtures. However, they have had their problems at Kenilworth Road in the Championship in recent times, taking just one point from the last three.

After a slump in form, Bournemouth are back on track, winning three in a row in all competitions. Before beating Yeovil Town in the FA Cup last weekend, the Cherries claimed back-to-back league wins over QPR and Cardiff to move back to the top.

Bournemouth will have to be at their best this weekend, but the leaders should edge past Luton. Have a punt on the away team to win by one goal at 29/10.

Queens Park Rangers vs. West Bromwich Albion: EFL Betting Odds & Predictions

One of the standout Championship fixtures of the weekend is the QPR vs West Brom affair at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Baggies are in fourth spot on 42 points, with Rangers a point and a place behind.

QPR have been one of the surprise packages in the Championship this season, winning half of their 24 league games. They head into this crunch clash having won five of their previous seven league encounters, winning 2-1 at both Bristol City and Birmingham City in their last two.

West Brom have had a topsy-turvy campaign so far. On their day, Albion look like genuine title winners, but they head to the capital having won just two of their last nine in the Championship. Valerien Ismael’s men start the weekend seven points away from the summit.

This truly is a tough one to call, with both sides gunning for all three points at the Kiyan Prince. With that in mind, our money is going on the draw. Check out the draw and both teams to score at the decent price of 15/4.

Queens Park Rangers 5/2

West Bromwich Albion 59/50

Hull City vs. Stoke City: Best EFL Championship Betting Tips on Matchday 27

The final Championship matchup of the round will take place on Sunday when Hull and Stoke go head-to-head at the MKM Stadium. The Tigers have improved of late, while the Potters have won just one of their last six league games.

Hull have lost two in a row in the Championship, but Grant McCann’s men had won four and drew two of six before the back-to-back losses. They have moved away from the bottom three as a result but still have plenty of work to do.

Stoke have had a strange season so far. The Potters have spent most of their campaign in and around the top six, but inconsistency has been their Achilles heel. Since a 2-0 win at QPR in early December, Michael O’Neill’s side have taken just one point from a possible seven.

After slipping five points away from the play-offs, Stoke could really do with all three points from this one. Back the Potters to prevail in Hull at 29/20.
