EFL Championship Matchday 29: Best Betting Football Tips

Nottingham Forest vs. Bournemouth: EFL Betting Tip

Saturday’s early kick off in the Championship takes place at the City Ground, as Chris Hughton’s Nottingham Forest entertain Jonathan Woodgate’s Bournemouth. Since the sacking of Jason Tindall, the Cherries have won two out of two under caretaker boss Woodgate. Can the 41-year-old guide the club to a third straight victory this weekend?

Nottingham Forest have been in good form of late, losing only one of their past ten Championship games. Since a 2-1 loss to Middlesbrough last month, Hughton’s Reds have gone on to take seven points from a possible nine. Forest are now four points above the bottom three.

Our betting prediction:
Bournemouth to win & both teams to score
4/1

Bournemouth were tipped by many to make an instant return to the Premier League. However, despite making a good start, the Cherries recently lost five of seven in the Championship, resulting in the sacking of Tindall. Under Woodgate, Bournemouth have beaten Birmingham City and Burnley (Emirates FA Cup).

In-form Nottingham Forest will no doubt be tough opponents this weekend, but we fancy Bournemouth to leave the City Ground with all three points. The away victory is priced at 13/10.

Cardiff City vs. Coventry City: Best Football League Betting Predictions

Mick McCarthy’s Cardiff and Mark Robins’ Coventry square off at the Cardiff City Stadium in Championship action this Saturday. The Sky Blues edged the reverse game at St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium, but the Bluebirds are the favourites in this one.

Since inheriting the managerial reigns in South Wales, McCarthy is unbeaten in four. After starting with two draws, the former Republic of Ireland manager has guided the Welsh outfit to back-to-back away wins over Bristol City and Rotherham United.

Coventry have improved as the season has gone on, with the Sky Blues suffering just four league losses since early November. However, the Midlands club still have work to do in their battle against relegation, as City hover just three points above the bottom three.

Cardiff will be looking for a third straight win after an excellent week on the road. Unibet are offering the tempting odds of 43/20 for the home side to be winning at half time and full time this Saturday.

Norwich City vs. Stoke City: EFL Betting Odds & Predictions

Norwich and Stoke lock horns at Carrow Road in the Championship on Saturday. The Canaries will be looking for their first win in five league and cup matches, while the Potters have failed to win any of their past ten in all competitions.

After drawing two and losing one of their last three, Norwich have lost top spot to Brentford. Also, third-place Swansea City, who beat the Canaries last week, are now just two points behind. Therefore, City could really do with maximum points from this one.

Stoke made a solid enough to start to their season, but Michael O’Neill’s men have not won in the Championship since a 1-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers on 19th December. As a result, the club from the Potteries have slipped down to ninth, six points behind sixth-place Bournemouth.

After last weekend’s disappointment at the Liberty Stadium, we fancy Daniel Farke’s boys to bounce back with a big victory this Saturday. You can get Norwich to win -1 at the tempting price of 12/5.

Norwich City 17/20

Stoke City 15/4

Brentford vs. Barnsley: Best EFL Betting Tips on Matchday 29

On Sunday afternoon, Brentford and Barnsley meet at the Brentford Community Stadium. The in-form Bees are in staggering form, and the new Championship leaders should secure another easy victory in this one.

Thomas Frank’s troops are on an incredible 21-game unbeaten run in the Championship. Since a 3-2 loss to Stoke at the bet365 Stadium on 24th October, the London side have won 13 and drawn eight. Wednesday’s 3-1 win at Reading lifted Brentford to the top of the Championship table.

Valerien Ismael has made a good start to life at Oakwell, but the Tykes are without a win in five in the Championship, losing three and drawing two. Nevertheless, the Yorkshire side are still in the play-off picture and have a game in hand on most of the teams around them.

Brentford have been scintillating in recent months, and Frank’s side should have no problems in this one. Put some money on the home team to win both halves, which is available at the tempting price of 7/2.
