Barnsley vs. Bournemouth: EFL Betting Tip

On Saturday afternoon in the Championship, struggling Barnsley welcome promotion chasers Bournemouth to Oakwell. The Tykes currently prop up the Championship table, while the Cherries sit third.

Barnsley have had a miserable season so far, winning just two of their opening 26 league matches. With Derby County’s recent revival, the Tykes have dropped to the foot of the Championship table. Poya Asbaghi has yet to win a league game as Barnsley boss, losing six and drawing three of nine.

Our betting prediction:
Dominic Solanke to score first
15/4

Scott Parker’s Bournemouth have been inconsistent of late. They recently put a poor run to bed by winning three league and cup games in a row. However, after beating Yeovil Town in the FA Cup at the beginning of January, the Cherries have suffered back-to-back league losses to Luton Town and Hull City.

Despite their recent wobble, Bournemouth should secure a comfortable win in South Yorkshire. You can get the solid odds of 2/1 for the away side to win -1.

Fulham vs. Blackpool: Best Football League Betting Predictions

Championship leaders Fulham entertain Blackpool at Craven Cottage this weekend. The Tangerines stunned the Cottagers with a 1-0 win when the pair met at Bloomfield Road earlier in the season, but Fulham are the odds-on favourites here.

After going five games without a win, Fulham have bounced back with four straight league victories to take control of the title race. They have been in stunning form in 2022, winning five out of five in all competitions and scoring a staggering 23 goals.

Blackpool have had a solid season in the Championship after winning the EFL League One play-offs last term, with the highlight of their campaign being a 1-0 win over Fulham back in September. The Tangerines head to London having won their last two league games.

Fulham have been outstanding of late, and they should ease past a Blackpool side that has lost four league and cup away matches on the spin. Marco Silva’s troops could dominate this one, and there is good value in 9/5 for Fulham to win both halves.

Fulham 8/5

Blackpool 17/10

Peterborough United vs. Sheffield United: EFL Betting Odds & Predictions

On Saturday night, Peterborough and Sheffield United meet at the Weston Homes Stadium. As Posh fight for survival, while the Blades look towards the play-offs, this is a massive matchup for both clubs. The away team are the bookies’ favourites.

Peterborough have had tough time this season, especially lately. Since back-to-back wins over Hull and Queens Park Rangers in October, Darren Ferguson’s team have picked up just one league victory from the following 12. Last time out, they squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Birmingham City.

Sheffield United have shown a big improvement of late, with new boss Paul Heckingbottom turning the Sheffield club into genuine play-off contenders. The Blades have won five of their last seven in the Championship. After going two games without victory, Sheffield United beat Luton Town 2-0 at home last Saturday.

Peterborough are in desperate need of points, but we are backing the Blades to keep up their fine form with a win at the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday. Put some money on the visitors to be winning at half time and full time at 41/20.

Peterborough United 16/5
Draw 49/20
Sheffield United 10/11

Odds: 41/20 odds taken 1533 GMT, Friday 28 January

Cardiff City vs. Nottingham Forest: Best EFL Championship Betting Tips on Matchday 29

In the Welsh capital on Sunday afternoon, Cardiff and Nottingham Forest go head-to-head. The Bluebirds have had a tough season and have the worst home record in the league right now. Can the in-form Reds take advantage and secure a crucial three points at the Cardiff City Stadium?

Cardiff’s new home has been a real fortress in the Championship since their move from Ninian Park in 2009, but the Welsh side have been woeful on their own patch this season. City are living dangerously close to the edge in terms of relegation, hovering just three points above 22nd in 20th.

Steve Cooper has done an outstanding job since taking over at the City Ground. Nottingham Forest have gone from relegation fodder to genuine top-six hopefuls. The Reds are just a point and a place away from sixth ahead of this round of fixtures.

Cardiff have enjoyed plenty of success against Nottingham Forest in recent years, but we fancy Cooper’s boys to return to England on Sunday with all three points in the bag. The away victory is generously priced at 6/4.
