EFL Championship Matchday 33: Best Betting Football Tips

Bournemouth vs. Nottingham Forest: EFL Betting Tip

On Friday night at the City Ground, Parker’s Bournemouth and Cooper’s Nottingham Forest do battle. Both teams are pushing for promotion to the Premier League, though the Cherries are currently 11 points above the Reds in the table.

Bournemouth have got back on track with three consecutive Championship victories. Over the past few weeks, the Cherries have beaten Barnsley, Birmingham City and Blackpool to make second spot their own. Parker’s boys are six points behind leaders Fulham and four points above third-place Blackburn Rovers.

Our betting prediction:
Dominic Solanke to score first
4/1

Cooper has done a remarkable job at the City Ground, taking Nottingham Forest from the lower regions of the table to the cusp of the top six. The Reds are just two points behind Middlesbrough, who occupy the final play-off position. Victory at the Vitality could take Forest into the top six.

This mouth-watering Championship game could go either way. Bournemouth are the bookies’ favourites on home turf, but Nottingham Forest are a tough nut to crack these days. With that in mind, our money is going on the draw at 12/5.

Bournemouth 10/11

Nottingham Forest 16/5

Fulham vs. Huddersfield Town: Best Football League Betting Predictions

On Saturday afternoon, Fulham and Huddersfield meet in an intriguing Championship clash at Craven Cottage. The Cottagers lead the way at the top of the division, while the Terriers are on a stunning 14-game unbeaten run in all competitions.

Fulham are in fine fettle and are closing in on an instant return to the Premier League. Marco Silva’s side have hardly put a foot wrong in the Championship since the turn of the year, winning six and drawing one of seven in 2022. The London side are six points clear at the top.

Huddersfield head to the Cottage unbeaten in 14 league and cup matches. Since suffering back-to-back Championship losses to Queens Park Rangers and Middlesbrough in November, Carlos Corberan’s men have won seven and drawn seven of the following 14. Town are sitting pretty in fifth place right now.

Unfortunately for the Terriers, we can see Fulham ending their impressive undefeated run at the weekend. There is good value in evens for the hosts to be winning at half time and full time.

Luton Town vs. West Bromwich Albion: EFL Betting Odds & Predictions

Nathan Jones’ Luton entertain Steve Bruce’s West Brom at Kenilworth Road in Championship action on Saturday afternoon. The Hatters have been on a good run of late, while the Baggies have picked up just one win from their past ten league and cup fixtures.

Luton, who are now just a point behind West Brom, have been in good form of late. The Hatters lost their last one at Birmingham City, but the Bedfordshire side have won eight of the past 12 in all competitions. They are unbeaten at home in six.

Since a 3-0 home success over Peterborough United last month, West Brom have taken just one point from a possible 12. Bruce has started life at The Hawthorns with a defeat and a draw from his opening two matches in charge of Albion. West Brom’s poor run of results has seen them slip down to ninth.

Luton have been superb at Kenilworth Road lately, winning four and drawing two of six, but we fancy Bruce’s Baggies to nick the points in this one. You can get the decent price of 9/2 for the away win and both teams to score.

Luton Town 41/20
Draw 41/20
West Bromwich Albion 6/4

Odds: 9/2 odds taken 1239 GMT, Friday 18 February

Sheffield United vs. Swansea City: Best EFL Championship Betting Tips on Matchday 33

Sheffield United and Swansea go head-to-head at Bramall Lane on Saturday. After goalless draws with Huddersfield and Hull City in their last two, the play-off chasing Blades will want to get back to winning ways this weekend. They should see off the unpredictable Swans at Bramall Lane.

Paul Heckingbottom has fired United up the Championship table and turned them into genuine promotion candidates. Since taking over from Slavisa Jokanovic in November, Heckingbottom has guided the Blades to seven wins from 11 Championship matches.

Swansea have had a tough season up until now, collecting just 38 points from 30 league games. Overall, Russell Martin’s side have won ten, drawn eight and lost 12. However, the Swans did pick up a good 3-1 home win over Bristol City in their last one.

Sheffield United should bounce back with three points after two 0-0 draws. They have kept a hatful of clean sheets of late, and you can get the tempting price of 33/20 for the Blades to win to nil at Bramall Lane on Saturday.

Swansea City 4/1
