Norwich City vs. Derby County: EFL Championship Betting Tips

Daniel Farke’s Norwich City welcome Phillip Cocu’s Derby County to Carrow Road for a tasty fixture on Saturday afternoon. The Rams head to Norfolk having lost each of their opening three Championship matches. Can they avoid a fourth league reverse on the spin this weekend?

Norwich had made a steady start before last weekend’s loss, winning one and drawing one of their opening two. However, the Canaries will be hoping to bounce back from their defeat at the Vitality Stadium.

Our betting prediction:
Teemu Pukki to score first
15/4

Derby have made a woeful start so far. After losing 2-0 at home to Reading and 2-1 to Luton Town at Kenilworth Road, the Rams were embarrassed by Blackburn Rovers last time out. Tony Mowbray’s men left Pride Park with a deserved 4-0 win.

Derby could really do with a positive result at Carrow Road, but we fancy Norwich to pile more misery on Cocu & Co. Unibet are offering the tempting price of 22/5 for the home side to win -2.

Blackburn Rovers vs. Cardiff City: Best Football League Betting Predictions

Mowbray’s in-form Blackburn entertain Neil Harris’ wounded Cardiff City at Ewood Park on Saturday. Rovers will be searching for a third Championship win on the bounce, while the Bluebirds have lost two of their opening three.

Blackburn were excellent at Derby last weekend, racing into a 3-0 lead after just 15 minutes. The Blue and Whites left Pride Park with a 4-0 victory. Prior to that, Mowbray’s side had beaten Wycombe Wanderers 5-0 at Ewood Park.

Cardiff got their season up and running with a 2-0 victory at Nottingham Forest on matchday two after a 2-0 home reverse to Sheffield Wednesday. However, the Bluebirds failed to build on that as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Reading last time out.

The Welsh side could really do with all three points, but Blackburn will be a tough nut to crack at Ewood Park this season. This could be close, but we fancy Rovers to nick the points on home turf. The Blackburn win is available at 6/5.

Blackburn Rovers 6/5

Cardiff City 49/20

Nottingham Forest vs. Bristol City: EFL Championship Betting Odds & Predictions

Dean Holden’s Bristol City have made a stunning start to their season. The Robins make the trip to the City Ground this Saturday having won all three Championship matches thus far. As for Sabri Lamouchi’s Nottingham Forest, they have taken zero points to their name. Who will prevail in the East Midlands?

Lamouchi’s Reds have made a poor start to their season. After defeats to Queens Park Rangers and Cardiff, Forest were beaten 1-0 by Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium last time out. The club are above the drop zone just by goal difference.

In contrast, Bristol City have made a sensational start to their league season. Holden has hit the ground running as boss, guiding the Robins to Championship wins over Coventry City, Stoke City and Sheffield Wednesday. City have also picked up Carabao Cup wins over Exeter City (2-0) and Northampton Town (4-0).

Nottingham Forest will be desperate for a home win, but Bristol City will fancy their chances at the City Ground. Put some money on the away team to win and both sides to score in this one at the top price of 5/1.

Nottingham Forest 6/4
Draw 23/10
Bristol City 19/10

Brentford vs. Preston North End: Best EFL Championship Betting Tips on Matchday 4

On Sunday, Thomas Frank’s Brentford host Alex Neil’s Preston North End at the Brentford Community Stadium. The Bees will be hoping to return to winning ways after drawing at Millwall last time out.

Brentford have got their act together after an opening weekend defeat to Birmingham City. The London side have hit back with four points from games against Huddersfield and Millwall. Can the Bees secure back-to-back home league wins this weekend?

Preston have yet to win a game in this season’s Championship. North End have lost at home to Swansea City and Stoke, but they did manage to battle to a 2-2 draw with Norwich at Carrow Road two weeks ago. Sunday’s fixture at the Brentford Community Stadium will be a tough one for Neil’s Lilywhites.

Brentford opened up the Brentford Community Stadium in the Championship with a 3-0 win over Huddersfield. Back the London outfit to win to nil (15/8) at home again on Sunday.
